Job Summary:
We're seeking a Director, HR Services to provide strategic leadership for a high-performing team delivering core HR services across multiple states. In this highly visible and hands-on role, you'll shape the vision, strategy, and execution of HR service delivery - ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement. You'll support organizational growth, including M&A integration, and play a key role in optimizing our HR technology to enhance scalability and employee experience. This is an exciting opportunity for a customer-focused, data-driven leader with strong business acumen and a passion for enabling high-quality, tech-enabled HR operations. 

*This is a REMOTE position.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Leads the strategy and execution of HR services team including background checks, drug screening, accommodations, unemployment claims, license verifications, healthcare sanctions, and other compliance-related support.
  • Acts as a key stakeholder in HR technology initiatives, ensuring system design and functionality aligns with HR Services needs and business goals.
  • Manages and scales a geographically dispersed team, focusing on coaching, talent development, and succession planning.
  • Defines, implements, and monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure operational excellence.
  • Champions a customer-centric service culture by enhancing internal client satisfaction and responsiveness. 
  • Leads the successful integration of acquired teams, standardizing HR Services and systems during M&A activity.
  • Drives the optimization of HR technology and automation tools to streamline and scale service delivery. 
  • Serves as a key advisor to senior HR and business leadership, providing actionable insights through data analysis. 
  • Stays informed of regulatory and industry changes to ensure proactively compliance and service innovation. 
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with HR Centers of Excellence, HRBPs, Compliance, and Operations to identify needs and deliver high-impact solutions.

Required Experience/Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 10 + years of progressive HR experience, with deep expertise in HR Services, HR Operations, OR Shared Services.
  • 5 + years of leadership experience managing teams and building scalable service delivery models. 
  • Proven success in leading HR service delivery within a multi-state or national organization
  • Demonstrated experience with M&A integration, change management, and operational transformation.
  • Strong proficiency with enterprise HR systems (e.g., Workday, Oracle, UKG).
  • Proven ability to influence and communicate effectively at the executive level.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and continuous improvement skills.
  • Deep knowledge of HR compliance and service delivery best practices. 

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to travel on a monthly or quarterly basis; frequency may fluctuate based on business needs
  • Majority (90%) of work is conducted indoors in air-conditioned or well-ventilated facilities.

Salary Range:
$145,000 - $165,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
