Primary Purpose
Responsible for the strategic sourcing and management of approximately $2.5 - $3b (depending on capital plan) in items categorized as Not for Resale. This position is responsible for the creation, management and development of the strategies to minimize our NFR cost structure while ensuring that the services/products meet the quality and strategic needs of all company stakeholders. The person must possess high level negotiation skill and ability to build and leverage extraordinary internal and external cross functional relationships to aggressively drive costs out of every part of business.
Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Salisbury, NC , Chicago, IL, Quincy, MA, Carlisle, PA, Scarborough, ME, Hyattsville, MD and Mauldin, SC.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Serve as primary champion & process leader for the strategic process for each spend area.
  • Set priorities & performance goals for Sourcing Managers.
  • Guide strategy development for major commodities
  • Oversee the development of annual strategic sourcing plans which specify how savings goals will be achieved.
  • Supervise Sourcing Leads.
  • Communicate team progress with the VP NFR and senior business unit leadership and ensure clear alignment between team action and business unit interests.
  • Responsible for leading strategic sourcing efforts in specific commodity areas as necessary/appropriate.
  • Working with ADUSA Stakeholders and the supplier community, develop, champion, and ensure implementation of ideas that will optimize ADUSA's total cost of ownership for spend categories within the portfolio.
  • Based on each commodity's sourcing strategy, oversee the supplier selection and negotiation process for key sourcing teams.
  • Establish and maintain contractual and business relationships with the senior management of key suppliers.
  • Support the sourcing category manager in the resolution of major customer satisfaction and vendor performance issues.
  • Be active in the effort to achive small and disadvantaged business sourcing objectives.
  • With the assistance of the Analyst and Finance, track forecasted vs actual savings for the portfolio of commodities and is responsible for communicating performance against these measures and their potential budgetary impact.
  • Work together with senior stakeholders in the business units to ensure savings are built into budgets and the annual operating plan
  • Work with each Sourcing team to ensure sourcing strategies are implemented and Supply Management, Demand Management and Process Management reductions are secured according to forecasts.
  • Responsible for breaking down organizational barriers and communicating overall sourcing trends/results for his/her commodities to the VP NFR.
  • Remain current with market trends through relationships with Sourcing Managers, suppliers and market experts, and ensure ADUSA has a process to gain access/familiarity with emerging supplier capabilities.
  • In conjunction with business unit purchasing leadership, develop performance objectives and conduct annual reviews with all associated Sourcing Associates.
  • Participate in career planning and development for each Sourcing Associate, and will assume a mentoring relationship with high-potential sourcing professionals.
  • Improve overall sourcing morale by communicating savings opportunities and successes throughout the company for strategic sourcing commodities and will actively champion the elevation of purchasing as a valued and career enhancing experience

ME/NC/PA/SC Salary Range: $161,600 - $242,400
IL/MA/MD/NY Salary Range: $185,840 - $278,760
Actual compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on their unique qualifications and experience, internal equity, and market conditions. Final compensation decisions will be made in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
