Job Summary:
The Director, Enterprise Internal Communications is a strategic leadership role responsible for shaping and executing the company’s internal communications strategy across a global, fast-paced organization. This role serves as the primary architect of the enterprise-wide internal narrative, ensuring employees at all levels and in all regions are informed, aligned, and engaged with the company’s vision, priorities, culture, and transformation efforts.
As a key member of the Corporate Affairs leadership team, this role partners closely with senior executives, HR, global functional leaders, and regional business units to drive clear, consistent, and compelling communication that strengthens culture, supports change initiatives, and enhances employee understanding of the company’s strategy and performance. This role oversees the planning, development, and delivery of internal messaging, leadership communications, employee engagement campaigns, town halls, and content for global internal channels.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
Develop and lead the enterprise-wide internal communications strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals, culture initiatives, and global priorities.
Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leaders on internal messaging, engagement approaches, and communication best practices.
Partner with HR and executive leadership to support organizational transformation, change management, and culture-building initiatives.
Enterprise Messaging & Content Development
Own the creation and delivery of high-impact internal communications, including company announcements, leadership messages, and enterprise storytelling.
Ensure clarity, consistency, and quality of all internal communication materials globally.
Develop messaging frameworks and editorial guidelines to elevate communication standards across the organization.
Global Employee Engagement
Lead global campaigns that promote employee engagement, culture, organizational priorities, and leadership visibility at local and global levels across the enterprise.
Oversee planning and execution of enterprise events such as town halls, leadership forums, and employee updates.
Ensure internal communications are tailored to diverse markets, languages, and cultural contexts.
Executive Communications
Partner closely with senior executives to craft clear, strategic communications, including talking points, presentations, speeches, video scripts, and leadership updates.
Prepare executives for employee-facing engagements and ensure consistent messaging across functions and regions.
Channel Management & Optimization
Oversee global internal communication channels (e.g., intranet, newsletters, digital screens, enterprise social platforms), ensuring content is relevant and optimized.
Establish governance for internal channels, including posting standards, content calendars, and quality control processes.
Identify opportunities to introduce new tools or capabilities to improve reach and engagement.
Measurement & Continuous Improvement
Establish KPIs to measure communication effectiveness, employee engagement, and channel performance.
Provide insights and recommendations to enhance impact and improve the employee experience.
Drive a continuous improvement mindset grounded in analytics and stakeholder feedback.
Team Leadership
Lead and develop a high-performing internal communications team; provide coaching, direction, and professional development.
Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and high-accountability environment focused on excellence and innovation.
Cross-Functional Partnership & Collaboration
Partner with Corporate/External Communications, Public Affairs, Corporate Citizenship and Partnerships, Events, Enterprise Marketing, and related functions, and other internal teams to ensure communications accurately reflect company priorities and initiatives.
Coordinate with business units and functional leaders to gather insights, validate messaging, and create aligned narratives.
Manage external agencies, freelancers, and other partners as needed to support content development and project execution.
Requirements
Ability to connect messaging to enterprise strategy and anticipate communication needs.
Skilled at advising executives and driving alignment across functions and regions.
Understands how to tailor messages to diverse cultural and regional contexts.
Strength in building relationships with leaders and stakeholders across the organization.
Experience developing, maintaining, measuring and improving best in class company Intranet.
Delivers high-quality work while managing multiple priorities and tight timelines.
Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to translate complex topics into clear, compelling messages.
Demonstrated success supporting senior executives and leading enterprise-wide communications initiatives.
Strong understanding of change management communications, culture-building strategies, and employee engagement best practices.
Ability to operate with discretion, sound judgment, and a strong sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in global matrixed organizations or high-growth environments.
Familiarity with internal communication platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365 tools like SharePoint, Teams, etc.)
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field (Master’s preferred).
10+ years of experience in corporate communications or internal communications, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Proven experience leading internal communications in a global or complex multi-region organization.

Pay Details:
The base compensation range for this position is $170,000 - $235,520. This range reflects Acrisure's good faith estimate at the time of this posting. Placement within the range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, location, and internal equity.Candidates should be comfortable with an on-site presence to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership.
