The Director of Mortgage Technology leads the operational and strategic development of the ICE Encompass platform, including team management, compliance, and technology evaluation for enhanced operations.

You’ll be responsible for the strategic leadership, operational excellence, and continuous evolution of the company’s mortgage technology ecosystem, with primary accountability for the ICE Mortgage Technology Encompass platform. The ideal candidate is a strategic, hands-on mortgage technology leader with deep Encompass expertise, strong cross-functional collaboration skills, and a proven track record of driving operational excellence. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the system owner for ICE Mortgage Technology Encompass (LOS), including configuration, administration, integrations, and upgrades.
- Define and execute the Encompass platform roadmap, aligned with business strategy, operational priorities, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead evaluation, implementation, and ongoing optimization of Encompass features (e.g., workflows, custom fields, personas, plugins, SDK/API integrations).
- Partner with ICE Mortgage Technology and third-party vendors to manage releases, defects, escalations, and enhancement requests.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a Mortgage Technology team of 5–10 professionals (e.g., Encompass Admins, Developers, Analysts, Support Desk).
- Establish clear accountability, performance expectations, and career development paths for the team.

Qualifications & Skills
- Ensure Encompass configurations and workflows comply with investor, agency, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
- Partner with Compliance and Audit on findings, remediation plans, and ongoing controls.
- Establish governance around configuration changes, user access, data integrity, and release management.
- Oversee integrations between Encompass and third-party systems (e.g., POS, pricing engines, doc prep, eNote/eVault, servicing, QA, compliance tools).
- Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance across systems throughout the loan lifecycle.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies that enhance borrower experience or operational efficiency.
- Own platform reliability, performance, and incident response related to Encompass.
- Define and track KPIs for system usage, productivity, defect rates, and delivery outcomes.
- Drive standardization, documentation, and best practices across mortgage technology processes
- 8+ years of mortgage technology or LOS experience, with deep hands-on Encompass expertise.
- 3+ years of people leadership experience managing technical or functional mortgage technology teams.
