A day in the life:

As a Director of Operations and Communications, you will sit at the center point of the company, moving between conversations with leadership, department heads, and frontline teams, translating high-level decisions into clear next steps while keeping a careful line between what's ready to share and what's still confidential. You will own the communication strategy, waterfall, and the platform where updates and initiatives are readily visible for the team. Days may be spent building and refining communications for a rollout, producing toolkits and ensuring proper change management sequencing, or following up with the people accountable for action items, flagging what's falling behind, and gently but firmly keeping deadlines on track. Alongside this, you’ll carry operational responsibilities: looking at a process that's causing friction, mapping out where it breaks down, and sketching a more effective and efficient way forward. You'll work with stakeholders, source feedback, lead meetings and on-sites, and strategize, making your people skills critical to success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create & maintain an internal Power Communications platform to disseminate communication + appropriate resources to each stakeholder
    • Work with a dedicated nova engineer to maintain + innovate the platform
  • Own all internal company communications, both company-wide and to senior leadership; owning the communication waterfall and strategy
    • Police timeline of company rollouts + strategy
    • Facilitate the agenda for all company scums, lead the meeting, & disseminate information to the team following
    • Facilitate quarterly company kickoff meeting agenda, deck creation, share screen & disseminate information to the team following 
    • Assist with CEO’s monthly company memo + distribution
    • Create the Power Insider quarterly newsletter 
    • Work with the internal marketing team on external company communications 
    • Support HR team with crisis communications
  • Own task management & accountability company-wide 
    • Project manage company initiatives that require action by a deadline from distribution to completion
    • Track progress, share updates with leaders, and hold team members accountable for each task to completion
  • Coordinate and lead bi-annual leadership onsite/offsite meetings, from planning to post-onsite measurement 
  • Own the consolidation and maintenance of company processes
    • Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and redundancies
    • Work with stakeholders and source feedback to understand needs and friction points
    • Resolve process kinks and drive improvements
    • Ensure processes are maintained & up-to-date on a quarterly basis
  • Employ AI technologies to enhance and optimize business processes
  • Utilize and leverage Power Digital's nova ecosystem as it relates to your department

Role Requirements:

  • 4-5 years in an Operations role with a proven track record of driving process improvements with a complex organization
  • Background or experience in company communications with hands-on experience owning the communication strategy for an organization
  • Growth mindset and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of change management best practices 
  • Strong relationship skills
  • Strong speaking skills and articulation

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • 100% accuracy of Power Communication Portal maintenance & distribution to all appropriate stakeholders in a timely manner - maintained on a weekly basis
  • 100% completion rate of mandated company initiatives
  • 1 closed operations project per quarter to drive meaningful improvements in our operations, approved by manager as most important project of the quarter

  • Strategic distribution of company communications + resources to all appropriate stakeholders in an effective, timely cadence, and accountability with task completion
  • Operational excellence - resource management, consolidation, storage, and optimization of all company processes.
  • Strong completion across all mandated company initiatives
