Position Title: Director/ Vice President Development, Corporate Partnerships

Reports To: SVP, Development, National

Office: Flexible location, must be in or near a Per Scholas campus city, preference to markets with a strong corporate presence, like New York City

This role is open to candidates at both the Director and Vice President levels. Title and compensation will be aligned with the candidate’s depth of experience, proven leadership, and potential for immediate business impact. 


Job Summary: 

As a Director/Vice President of Corporate Partnerships, you will be one of the architects of growth for our corporate portfolio. You are responsible for identifying, cultivating, and securing six- and seven-figure corporate commitments that fuel Per Scholas’ mission. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role that bridges the gap between our programmatic impact and the resources needed to scale it. You will serve as a lead storyteller and strategist, ensuring our funders see the tangible ROI of their investments. 


What You’ll Do: 

Strategic Growth

  • Architect Strategy: Work with SVP to design and execute a comprehensive fundraising roadmap to strategically grow and diversify revenue from corporations across multiple markets or workstreams.
  • Pipeline Development: Lead the identification, qualification, cultivation, and award of corporate prospects.
  • Visionary Pitching: Craft high-stakes concepts, proposals, and presentations that translate complex workforce data into a compelling case for support.

Account Management & Stewardship

  • Portfolio Leadership: Oversee the lifecycle of a portfolio corporate relationships, including developing resources like emails, talking points, decks, one-pagers, and external-facing collateral, ensuring white-glove stewardship and ambitious renewal/growth targets.
  • Impact Reporting: Collaborate with Program, Development, and Data teams to synthesize Salesforce data and "on-the-ground" stories into sophisticated impact reports.
  • Thought Leadership: Stay ahead of trends in the tech industry, labor market, and philanthropic landscape to position Per Scholas as a premier partner for workforce development.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Internal Liaison: Work alongside Enterprise, Talent Solutions, Program, and Marketing teams to ensure a "one-voice" approach to external collateral and donor messaging.
  • Knowledge Management: Maintain rigorous record-keeping in Salesforce to ensure data integrity and accurate budget forecasting.
  • Market Alignment: Partner closely with campus leadership and regional development teams to bring the mission to life through high-touch funder engagements, including site visits, learner roundtables, and collaborative multi-market pitches.

What  You’ll Bring to Us:

  • Experience: 7+ years of progressive development experience (Director 7+ years experience/ VP 10+ years experience) with a proven track record of securing six- and seven-figure grants from institutional donors, including corporations. Ability and comfort with attending key external meetings as the organizational representative.
  • Communication Mastery: You are an exceptional writer and a persuasive speaker. You can take a complex data set and turn it into a deck that "wows" a boardroom.
  • Strategic Mindset: You don’t just fill out applications; you build relationships. You understand the nuances of funder motivations and how to align them with organizational goals.
  • Technical Fluency: High proficiency in Salesforce (or similar CRM) and the ability to interpret data.
  • Startup Agility: You thrive in fast-paced, inventive environments. You are comfortable with ambiguity and have a "roll-up-your-sleeves" mentality.
  • Mission Alignment: A deep commitment to social change and bridging the opportunity gap.

For this role specifically, we are targeting a salary range of $110,000- $120,000/year. The salary difference is typically determined by several factors, including the geography where the selected candidate resides and alignment with qualifications and experience.

Holidays & PTO: Full-Time Per Scholas team members enjoy over 40 days of paid time off each year through a mix of holidays, vacation, and sick/personal time! All employees are eligible for Holiday pay upon hire (a total of 22 holidays annually, including a week off for Independence day and a week before the New Year). Full-Time Benefits Eligible employees also receive 80 Wellness Hours to use for Sick, Safe, or Personal reasons and accrue Vacation at a rate of 8 hours at the beginning of every month, supporting rest, recharge, and work-life balance. Vacation accruals increase with tenure. Part-time employees are afforded time off on a prorated basis and in accordance with local requirements. 

Comprehensive Medical Coverage: Benefit eligible employees can choose from multiple medical plans through Cigna or Kaiser Permanente (where available), with options to fit your needs. Eligible employees also have access to a Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) that reimburses eligible out-of-pocket expenses, up to $4,000 for individuals and $8,000 for families.

Dental and Vision Insurance: Eligible employees can select from two dental plan options and a vision plan. Employees who waive medical coverage receive employer paid dental and vision premiums.

Retirement Savings: 401(k) plan with a current 100% employer match on contributions up to 6%, eligible employees are offered entry and full vesting after 90 days with the company.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP): Free, confidential, 24/7 access to counseling, legal support, and financial resources for employees and their household members

Parental Leave: Eligible employees are offered up to 6 weeks of 100% paid parental leave to support employees as they welcome a new child and bond with their family.

Additional Benefits & Perks: Eligible employees have access to employer-paid life and AD&D Insurance, as well as employer-paid short-term disability coverage, with the option to elect additional life coverage and long-term disability insurance. Flexible Spending accounts are available for healthcare, dependent care, and commuting expenses. Per Scholas also offers a range of voluntary benefits, including: Accident, Critical Illness, Hospital Indemnity, Legal Services, and Pet Insurance.
