About Protocol Behavioral Health

Protocol provides cancer-specific behavioral health treatment to patients by partnering with oncology clinics and cancer centers. Oncology patients are at heightened risk of mental health disorders and suicide, and those conditions negatively impact patient outcomes, treatment adherence, and total cost of care. Our approach is designed to meet patients where they are: emotionally, logistically, and financially. We deliver high-quality mental health support for cancer patients using the collaborative care model, integrated directly into oncology treatment centers. The team consists of top tier executives and operators who have depth in experience across behavioral health, healthcare services and oncology payer relationships across firms such as The US Oncology Network, Equip, agilon health, IntegraConnect, Cancer Treatment Centers of America, and more.

About the role

The Director of Partner Success is part of the operations team focused on building and sustaining strong, high-impact relationships with our oncology practice partners. This role serves as the primary operational and strategic liaison between partner practices and our internal teams, ensuring seamless communication, effective workflow integration, and measurable partnership performance. The Director of Partner Success will lead ongoing operational partnership management, including performance tracking, quarterly joint operating committee meetings, and continuous workflow optimization, while also supporting the launch and implementation of new practice partnerships. This role is well-suited for a healthcare operations leader who thrives in fast-moving, early-stage environments and brings a thoughtful, problem-solving approach to partner engagement.

In this role you will:

  • Own and manage ongoing operational relationships with oncology practice partners, ensuring clear, consistent communication between key stakeholders on both teams

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate and align operational workflows between our organization and partner practices

  • Continuously evaluate and optimize workflows to improve efficiency, performance outcomes, and overall partner experience, including adapting to new software releases or operational updates

  • Monitor and report on partnership performance metrics, providing actionable insights to partner practices and internal leadership

  • Plan, organize, and lead quarterly JOC meetings with practice partners

  • Support launch and implementation of new practice partnerships

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Who are we looking for?

  • 7-10 years of experience in healthcare operations or partner management roles.

  • Particular experience managing successful operational partnerships and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders across organizations.

  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.

  • A strong problem-solving mindset, with sound judgment and the ability to navigate complex operational challenges

  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, early-stage environment, with adaptability to ambiguity and ongoing change

Why work at protocol?

Working at Protocol Behavioral Health means joining a purpose-driven team at the forefront of transforming cancer care through compassionate, integrated mental health support.
