About the Job

As Director of Product, Homeowner & Partner Experience, you will own every product surface a homeowner or partner touches. Reporting directly to the VP of Product & Engineering, your portfolio spans the direct-to-consumer homeowner journey (acquisition funnel, application experience, homeowner portal, and post-origination experience) and Splitero's wholesale partner channel, including the partner-facing surfaces that will enable brokers and partners. You'll lead the strategy layer, partnering with a Homeowner Experience Product Manager, a Martech Product Manager, and Product Design, who handle day-to-day execution. Your focus is the bigger picture of driving conversion and homeowner experience strategy, driving the wholesale channel's product growth, and leading product work for business expansion. You consistently ensure that discovery and design quality push Splitero's homeowner experience beyond just a competitive advantage and raise the bar across the financial and property technology industries.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment. You are someone who balances growth instincts with craft, builds conviction through data and homeowner insight rather than opinion, and measures success by funded homeowners and partner adoption across a diverse set of channels.

Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Own the product vision and roadmap across the homeowner funnel, portal, and post-origination experience
  • Own the wholesale channel's product experience: partner onboarding, submission flows, pricing display, and partner transactional communications
  • Lead product scoping for business expansion and growth, including eligibility, disclosures, and state-specific flows in partnership with legal and compliance
  • Run a proactive planning session for the product focus, protecting forward-looking discovery from day-to-day reactive work and leading with analytics and evidence where appropriate

Growth & Conversion

  • Own funnel performance end-to-end: conversion strategy, experimentation cadence, and drop-off diagnosis in partnership with Analytics, Sales, and Revenue Operations
  • Direct martech strategy through the Martech PM: attribution, lead routing, campaign infrastructure, and lifecycle communications to outline personas and ensure consistent and clear transactional messages throughout the funnel
  • Partner with sales and marketing leadership as the product voice in channel strategy

Leadership & Team Development

  • Coach and develop the Homeowner Experience PM, Martech PM, and Product Design team to be proactive and predictable in delivering best-in-class work
  • Build a healthy discovery practice for homeowner and partner research, feeding roadmap decisions, not validating them after the fact
  • Partner with People Operations on hiring and org design as the team and needs scale

Cross-Functional Partnership & Measurement

  • Maintain the ownership seam with the Director of Product, Business Platform: you own partner- and homeowner-facing surfaces; the workflow and record layer underneath is theirs
  • Ensure every launch ships with instrumentation, an enablement plan, and a clean handoff to operations in partnership with the Product Operations Manager
  • Define and track pillar metrics: funnel conversion, homeowner satisfaction, partner adoption and submission quality, time-to-fund to ensure proactive and ongoing success of Spliteros growth and homeowner-centric strategy

Reporting Structure:

Product Manager, Homeowner Experience: Directly reports to this role. Owns day-to-day execution across funnel, portal, and post-close surfaces, including PRDs, QRGs, backlog, and launch coordination with the product engineering team.Martech Product Manager: Directly reports to this role. Owns marketing technology: attribution, lead capture and routing, campaign infrastructure, and marketing-side communications.Senior Product Designer: Directly reports to this role. Owns end-to-end design across consumer and internal surfaces, design QA, and the design system.

About You

  • 8+ years in product management with significant consumer-facing experience — funnels, conversion, and customer-journey products
  • 5+ years working on a B2C product in finance, property, or tech domain
  • Proven growth instincts: hypothesis-driven experimentation, funnel analytics, and conversion optimization at a company where the funnel is the business
  • Experience with B2B2C or channel products; building for the partner who serves the end customer
  • Experience managing PMs and/or designers with a clear readiness to move from IC ownership to team leadership
  • Strong design sensibility. You can direct design quality without doing the design itself
  • Track record at a startup or growth-stage company; comfortable when priorities shift
  • Excellent communicator. You are able to represent the homeowner and partner perspective credibly in executive decisions and clearly outline impacts further down funnel of initial experiences

Preferred:

  • Experience in fintech, proptech, or consumer lending — particularly regulated application flows and disclosures
  • Experience launching a new channel or product line inside an existing company
  • Familiarity with martech stacks (attribution, CRM-integrated campaign tooling, lifecycle messaging)
  • Experience partnering with compliance/legal on state-by-state product variation

The on-target earnings for this position are $205,000 - $240,000, inclusive of a base salary and a biannual bonus based on company, team, and individual success.  Within the range, individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

About Us

Millions of homeowners in today’s economy are sitting on substantial home equity they are unable to access due to rising interest rates and strict qualification requirements of traditional lenders. That means millions of homeowners can’t convert their hard-earned equity into cash to pay off debt, start a home renovation, or pad their retirement to better their lives.

Splitero co-founders Michael Gifford and David Zvaifler witnessed the problem firsthand throughout their real estate careers. They set out to create a win-win product that could help those homeowners access their home equity but not make monthly payments like traditional financing options. And thus, Splitero was born.
