Job Description:

The Director of Product Management and Strategic Marketing for the Aftermarket Business is a strategic and collaborative leader who will guide the product vision and portfolio strategy across our global Aftermarket business. This role is responsible for ensuring our product portfolio delivers differentiated value to customers in packaging and industrial converting markets, while aligning with business growth objectives and operational excellence.

This leader will work across multiple business units to drive clarity, consistency, and innovation in our product offerings—anchored in voice of customer, market insight, and a deep understanding of manufacturing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Platform Product Strategy: Define and lead a unifying product management strategy aligned to market trends, customer needs, and our strategic goals.

  • Portfolio Management: Oversee product portfolio performance across businesses, ensuring alignment of investments, sunsetting of legacy offerings, and identification of growth and innovation opportunities.

  • Strategic Marketing: Shared Services for Converting Platform.

  • Cross-Business Leadership: Facilitate collaboration among product leaders from legacy brands (e.g., Paper Converting Machine Company, Hudson-Sharp, W&D, Baldwin etc.), leveraging shared best practices and driving synergies across offerings.

  • Customer-Focused Development: Champion voice-of-customer processes to inform new product development, enhancements, and service offerings that improve uptime, productivity, and sustainability for our customers.

  • Lifecycle Ownership: Drive the full product lifecycle—from concept, requirements definition, and business case, through development, launch, and end-of-life planning.

  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing team of product managers and analysts across geographies and business units.

  • Go-to-Market Alignment: Partner closely with Sales, Engineering, and Operations to ensure successful launches and scaling of new products.

  • Data & Insights: Define key performance metrics and ensure data-driven decision-making processes guide prioritization and product investment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).

  • 10+ years of experience in industrial product management or manufacturing solutions, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

  • Strong understanding of capital equipment, manufacturing systems, and industrial automation.

  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional product teams in a matrixed or multi-brand environment.

  • Proven success in building and executing product strategies that drive growth and improve customer experience.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative, servant-leader mindset.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Familiarity with the Print/ packaging/converting industry or related manufacturing sectors.

  • Comfortable working across legacy brand cultures and systems within a unified platform model.

  • Deep customer empathy and a passion for operational improvement and innovation.

  • Ability to travel as needed (~25%) across domestic and international locations.

The approximate pay range for this position is $185K - $200K (DOE). Please note that the pay range is a good faith estimate at the time of posting and may vary based on factors such as experience, skills, and geographic location.  Our complete benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance; paid time off; 401k plan with company match…all starting on day one!
