Director of Product Management – Managed Security Services (MSS)

About SonicWall:
SonicWall is a global leader in cybersecurity, known for defending small and medium businesses, enterprises, and service providers from the most sophisticated cyber threats. With over 30 years of innovation, SonicWall has built a reputation for delivering intelligent network security, cloud security, secure mobile access, and endpoint protection—all with a focus on real-world effectiveness and simplicity.

As we expand our portfolio to meet the evolving needs of the market, Managed Security Services is a key strategic growth area. With the recent acquisition of Solutions Granted and a robust MSSP partner ecosystem, we are building the next generation of turnkey, scalable managed services for our partners and customers.

Role Summary:

We are seeking a Director of Product Management to lead our Managed Security Services strategy and execution. This leader will own the end-to-end lifecycle of SonicWall’s MSS offerings, with a focus on enabling our global community of MSPs and MSSPs to deliver differentiated, scalable, and profitable managed services. The ideal candidate has deep domain expertise in the MSP/MSSP space, a proven track record of launching successful managed services, and the leadership acumen to collaborate cross-functionally across Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Partner Success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the Product Strategy:
Define and evolve the vision, strategy, and roadmap for SonicWall’s Managed Security Services portfolio, aligned with market trends, customer needs, and partner success.
  • Partner-Centric Design:
Collaborate with top MSPs and MSSPs to design services tailored to their business models—including multi-tenant management, SOC-as-a-Service, MDR, Firewall-as-a-Service, and ZTNA.
  • Service Portfolio Management:
Lead end-to-end product lifecycle—from ideation to GTM—for managed offerings built on SonicWall technologies (e.g., firewalls, endpoint, ZTNA, threat intel, and platform).
  • Cross-Functional Leadership:
Drive alignment with Engineering, Service Delivery, Sales, Operations, and Marketing to ensure on-time, high-quality launches and ongoing service enhancements.
  • Business Model Innovation:
Design and optimize service packaging, pricing, and monetization strategies suitable for recurring revenue growth in the MSP/MSSP market.
  • Voice of the Partner:
Serve as the internal advocate for service providers—bringing in market feedback, competitive insights, and operational realities to guide product decisions.
  • Metrics and Performance:
Establish KPIs to track adoption, service quality, customer satisfaction, and partner profitability; use data to guide roadmap prioritization and iteration.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of product management or service development experience in cybersecurity, preferably with at least 5 years in managed services for MSPs or MSSPs.
  • Deep understanding of MSP/MSSP business models, operational workflows, SLAs, and tools (RMM, PSA, multi-tenant platforms, SOC operations).
  • Proven success in launching and scaling managed security offerings such as MDR, FWaaS, ZTNA, or XDR.
  • Experience working across hardware, software, and cloud-based security services.
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills; ability to influence senior stakeholders and present to partners/customers.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and highly collaborative environment.
  • Technical fluency in cybersecurity concepts (network security, threat detection, incident response) and comfort working with engineering teams.
  • Experience building go-to-market strategies for managed services, including channel programs and partner enablement.

Preferred:

  • Experience working at or with a cybersecurity vendor and a top-tier MSSP.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001), FedRAMP, or vertical-specific requirements (e.g., healthcare, financial services).
  • An MBA or technical Master’s degree is a plus.

Why Join SonicWall?

  • Be at the forefront of SonicWall’s transformation into a service-centric cybersecurity leader.
  • Shape industry-defining services that empower thousands of MSPs and MSSPs globally.
  • Work with passionate teams driving innovation across product, engineering, and partner success.
  • Competitive compensation, equity, and benefits in a high-growth environment.
