Job Summary:
We are seeking a visionary Director of Product Marketing to lead PMM for PayPal’s agentic commerce strategic bet - an early, high-visibility innovation priority shaping the future of how people and businesses buy, sell, and get paid. This leader will define and scale product marketing for a new class of AI-powered commerce experiences and establish how PayPal brings to market technologies that transform the full shopping and payment journey in the agentic era.Agentic commerce represents a fundamental shift from human-initiated transactions to AI-native, autonomous shopping flows - where intelligent agents can discover products, compare options, manage complex and multi-party transactions, and complete checkout across any surface. PayPal’s unique position as a trusted, neutral, two-sided global network enables us to become the foundational infrastructure powering these agent-driven experiences for consumers, merchants, developers, ecosystems, and AI platforms.
Job Description:
Essential Responsibilities:
- Develop insights and conduct market analysis to inform product strategy and positioning
- Create and refine value proposition narratives tailored to market segments
- Monitor and analyze competition to identify opportunities and threats
- Collect and validate customer feedback to guide product development
- Lead early detection and resolution of customer issues to improve satisfaction
- Oversee performance tracking through instrumentation and dashboarding
- Translate insights into actionable recommendations for product enhancements
- Drive the execution of key initiatives and go-to-market strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful merchant solutions
- Lead regional product marketing initiatives to align with business objectives

Messaging, Positioning & Narrative Development
Own and define the end-to-end messaging and positioning for PayPal’s agentic commerce portfolio across B2B, B2B2C, and developer audiences.
Establish and continuously refine our narrative, articulating why PayPal is uniquely positioned to lead agentic commerce.
Create clear audience-specific value propositions for enterprise merchants, SMBs, developers, marketplaces/eCommerce platforms, LLM providers, and consumers.
Product Launch Strategy & GTM Leadership
Lead go-to-market strategy for new agentic commerce products and capabilities, partnering closely with Product, Partnerships, Marketing, Sales, and Comms.
Define launch frameworks, readiness plans, and adoption strategies.
Develop compelling customer-facing and field-facing materials, from product one-pagers to pitch decks to web content.
PMM Function Building & Scale
Build and scale product marketing foundations for a fast-evolving category - frameworks, processes, research standards, sales enablement, and audience insights.
Partner with other Marketing leaders to ensure agentic commerce positioning integrates seamlessly across PayPal’s ecosystem strategy.
Serve as the connective tissue between cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment around target audiences, value props, and product-market fit.
Sales, Partnerships & Cross-Functional Enablement
Enable global sales, partner teams, and field orgs with toolkits, training, and proof points to drive adoption among merchants, developers, and tech partners.
Collaborate closely with Partnerships on GTM for LLM providers, ecosystem players, and platform integrations.
Provide competitive insights and market intelligence to guide product strategy and influence roadmap prioritization.
Partner with Comms, Brand, and Leadership on external narratives, events, speaking engagements, and thought leadership moments.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience
10+ years of experience in Product Marketing
Background in payments, AI/ML, developer platforms, marketplaces, or SaaS is a strong plus.
Demonstrated success leading zero-to-one product launches, category creation, or early-stage incubation within a larger organization.
Experience engaging with enterprise merchants, developers, or ecosystem partners is strongly preferred.
Experience working in highly cross-functional environments

Strong GTM strategist with experience driving adoption, packaging, messaging, and execution.
