Description

Vega is one of the fastest-growing startups in cybersecurity, redefining security analytics and operations with an AI-native platform for the SOC.

We are building the next-generation operating system for security teams. Vega is already delivering real impact at some of the world’s largest organizations—improving detection, unlocking the value of their security data, and reducing cost and complexity. With HQs in New York and TLV, we're looking for people who want to be part of the next rocket ship in cyber.

The Role

Vega is seeking a Regional Director to lead and scale our enterprise sales team across the Western U.S. Bay area preferred, open to candidates in SoCal, AZ, NV.

This is a first-line leadership role for a hands-on sales leader who knows how to build, coach, and develop high-performing enterprise sellers. You will lead a team of Regional Sales Managers responsible for winning and expanding enterprise and strategic accounts across the region.

You will own regional execution—from hiring and developing the team to pipeline creation, deal strategy, forecasting, and closing—while partnering closely with Sales Engineering, Marketing, Channel, and executive leadership.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the West sales team: Hire, onboard, coach, and develop a high-performing team of enterprise Regional Sales Managers.
  • Own regional performance: Drive accountability across revenue, pipeline generation, new-logo acquisition, and expansion.
  • Coach complex enterprise deals: Partner directly with reps on account strategy, executive alignment, competitive positioning, negotiation, and close plans.
  • Drive enterprise and strategic growth: Build a repeatable motion for acquiring new enterprise logos and expanding strategic accounts.
  • Build executive relationships: Engage CISOs and VP-level security leaders at prospects, customers and channel partners while helping the team multi-thread across security, data/platform, procurement, and executive stakeholders.
  • Create pipeline: Establish a strong field culture centered on proactive pipeline generation, strategic account planning, and disciplined territory execution.
  • Maintain forecast discipline: Run pipeline reviews, deal inspections, and forecasting with a high level of accuracy and accountability.
  • Leverage the channel: Partner with Vega’s Channel organization and strategic partners to create pipeline, access decision-makers, and accelerate enterprise opportunities.
  • Partner cross-functionally: Work closely with Sales Engineering, Marketing, Product, Customer Success, and leadership to remove obstacles and improve execution.
  • Represent Vega in the market: Build Vega’s presence across the West through customer meetings, executive briefings, partner engagements, and industry events.

What You Will Bring

  • 10+ years of enterprise, quota-carrying sales experience in cybersecurity or enterprise software, with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • 2+ years leading enterprise sales teams as a first-line leader, including hiring, coaching, and developing high-performing reps.
  • Demonstrated success selling into large, complex enterprises with six- and seven-figure deal sizes.
  • Strong track record of building and executing strategic account plans and closing multi-year agreements.
  • Deep understanding of modern security architectures, including SIEM, XDR, security data lakes, and cloud-scale analytics.
  • Ability to engage credibly with CISOs, VP-level security leaders, and executive sponsors.
  • Experience leveraging channel partners to penetrate and expand large enterprise accounts.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation skills, and executive presence.
  • Strong command of enterprise forecasting rigor.
  • Willingness to travel regionally for executive meetings, partner engagement, and key customer moments.

Nice to Have

  • Experience selling cloud-based data solutions and/or familiarity with cloud data architectures and data pipelines.
  • Existing relationships with Fortune 1000 security leaders and enterprise partner organizations across the Western U.S.
  • Experience displacing or augmenting legacy SIEM platforms at scale.
  • Recent experience working in an early-stage, high-growth startup environment (Series B/C).
  • Familiarity with Vega’s mission, architecture, or AI-driven SOC workflows.
