This role is a unique blend of strategic vision and hands-on execution, encompassing talent acquisition, employer branding, onboarding, and early employee engagement.

You bring a founder’s mindset—scrappy, resourceful, and ready to build from the ground up. Whether navigating ambiguity or wearing multiple hats, you thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments and approach challenges with creativity, agility, and curiosity. As an employer brand ambassador, you know how to attract top talent, and as a culture champion, you ensure every new hire feels connected, empowered, and set up to thrive from day one.

What You’ll Do:

Talent Acquisition Strategy & Leadership

  • Drive end-to-end recruiting strategy aligned to company goals and future workforce planning
  • Utilize and evaluate modern sourcing technologies — including platforms like LinkedIn Recruiter, Greenhouse, and AI-driven tools such as BrightHire, SeekOut, or Gem — to identify top talent, streamline workflows, and continuously improve sourcing efficiency at scale
  • Partner with hiring managers to ensure a proactive, diverse, and high-quality pipeline
  • Optimize the candidate experience and reduce time-to-hire through process improvements and tech adoption
  • Build processes that are fast, flexible, and human—without adding unnecessary complexity

Employer Branding & Candidate Experience

  • Build and own the employer brand strategy across all channels—career site, social, job boards, events, etc.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Communications to build content that showcases Built’s culture, values, and mission
  • Create consistent, compelling messaging that attracts top talent in competitive markets
  • Think outside the box to attract passive candidates and build community within key talent markets

Onboarding & Early Tenure Experience

  • Design and execute a structured best-in-class onboarding journey focused on the first 120 days
  • Implement feedback mechanisms to understand new hire sentiment and drive improvements
  • Design scalable programs that balance structure with personalization, ensuring every new hire feels welcomed and ready to contribute
  • Use data and feedback to iterate quickly and make onboarding a competitive advantage
  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure alignment between onboarding, training, and performance

Employee Engagement & Insights

  • Develop and manage engagement surveys, pulse checks, and early-experience feedback tools
  • Analyze data to uncover trends and create actionable strategies to increase retention and satisfaction
  • Turn insights into action plans in partnership with People Business Partners and team leaders
  • Partner with People business partners to build programs that strengthen connection, belonging, and early-career development

Strategic Talent Management

  • Support workforce planning, internal mobility, succession planning, and early-career development programs
  • Champion equitable talent practices and ensure alignment
  • Contribute to the design of a future-ready talent management framework

What You Bring

  • 8+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, or related People functions
  • At least 3 years in a leadership role within a start-up or high-growth tech environment
  • Demonstrated ability to build programs from the ground up—scrappy, resourceful, and creative problem solver
  • Deep expertise in Greenhouse or comparable ATS, sourcing tools, and candidate engagement platforms
  • Analytical mindset—comfortable using data to influence strategy, iterate, and communicate impact
  • Strong storytelling and brand-building skills; marketing instincts are a plus
  • Strong grasp of employer branding, digital marketing, and recruitment campaigns
  • Passion for building inclusive, people-first experiences that reflect a strong company culture

  • Experience with survey tools and early engagement programs
  • Knowledge of employment law and compliance, especially related to hiring practices
  • Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Willing to relocate to or travel frequently to Nashville, TN

  • Work with passionate, driven colleagues on an industry-changing mission
