Built by healthcare operators for healthcare operators, Plenful is driven by a deep understanding of the challenges facing today’s care teams. We’re passionate about equipping healthcare teams with world-class tools that deliver real, measurable impact, and we’re proud to serve 90+ leading health systems across the country. If you’re excited to help shape the future of healthcare, we’d love to meet you.

About the role
We are looking for a Director of Talent to build out our talent acquisition efforts during a period of rapid growth. This role will own recruiting strategy and execution, build and support a growing recruiting team, and strengthen the processes and tools that enable efficient, high-quality hiring across the company.  This is a player–coach role for someone who enjoys being close to the work while also shaping how recruiting operates as the company scales.
What you’ll do

  • Own end-to-end recruiting across the company, from intake through offer, with a focus on speed, quality, and candidate experience.
  • Ensure recruiting practices maintain a high talent bar and align with company values.
  • Hire, coach, and develop a high-performance recruiting team, providing clear priorities and day-to-day support
  • Develop and execute a long-term, scalable recruitment strategy aligned with business growth & product roadmaps
  • Partner closely with hiring managers and leadership to align on hiring needs, role definitions, and timelines.
  • Design and improve recruiting processes with an automation-first mindset, reducing manual work and increasing consistency.
  • Evaluate, implement, and optimize AI-enabled recruiting tools across sourcing, screening, scheduling, and reporting.
  • Establish lightweight, structured interview practices and hiring manager guidance.
  • Track key recruiting metrics and use data and insights to identify bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement.
What we’re looking for
  • 8+ years of recruiting experience with demonstrated leadership of hiring and leading a team.
  • Experience at a fast-growing tech company (ideally 100-->500 employees); you understand the difference between building what a company needs now versus over-engineering for a future state that may never arrive
  • Proven talent leadership experience in a hypergrowth company
  • Proven ability to operate as a player–coach in a growing organization.
  • Experience improving or scaling recruiting processes and systems.
  • Strong partnership skills with hiring managers and cross-functional leaders.
  • Practical, resourceful approach with a bias toward action. Automation-first, AI-enabled recruiting mindset, with experience applying modern tools to improve efficiency and scale.
Plenful perks
  • Comprehensive Benefits Package: Enjoy unlimited PTO, fully covered health insurance (medical, dental, and vision),  meal stipend, health & wellness stipend, 401(k) matching, and stock options
  • Mission-Driven, World-Class Team: Join an exceptional group of professionals aligned around a meaningful mission and committed to making an impact
  • Opportunities for Growth: Strengthen your partnership expertise through collaboration with experienced, high-performing leaders across the organization
  • Flexible Work Environment: We are a remote-first company with meaningful office presence in San Francisco and New York. R&D roles follow a hybrid model, with two days per week in our San Francisco office.
