Description

Vega is one of the fastest-growing startups in cybersecurity, redefining security analytics and operations with an AI-native platform for the SOC. We are building the next-generation operating system for security teams — already delivering real impact at some of the world's largest organizations by improving detection, unlocking the value of their security data, and reducing cost and complexity. With HQs in New York and TLV, we're looking for people who want to be a part of the next rocket-ship in cyber.

The Role

We're looking for a Director of Technical Product Marketing with deep cybersecurity expertise to own our go-to-market strategy, build and lead a high-performing Technical PMM function, and craft a compelling product narrative that resonates across the market. This is a leadership role — you'll be shaping not just messaging and strategy, but the team, processes, and culture that power Vega's market presence as we scale.

What You'll Do

  • Build, mentor, and manage a growing Technical PMM team, setting clear goals, fostering professional development, and creating a culture of ownership and excellence.
  • Define the structure, workflows, and rituals that allow the PMM function to operate effectively across a fast-moving, cross-functional organization.
  • Serve as the senior voice of the market internally — bringing customer, competitive, and industry intelligence into product, sales, and executive conversations.
  • Develop crisp, differentiated messaging for technically complex cybersecurity products, independently and at a strategic level, framed around real-world security workflows and outcomes: faster triage, lower MTTR, reduced data movement costs.
  • Localize messaging effectively across buyer personas including Detection Engineers, SOC Managers, CISOs, and Compliance teams.
  • Work with Product Management to drive end-to-end execution of product and feature launches, including messaging, sales enablement, customer communications, and outbound content — treating launches as strategic levers to shape market perception, not just announcements.
  • Build and maintain battlecards, demo narratives, sales decks, and playbooks that drive product understanding and improve win rates.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales and Solution Engineering to gather field feedback and continuously sharpen messaging and assets, with a focus on enabling effective land-and-expand strategies.
  • Write or oversee high-impact blogs, whitepapers, solution briefs, and webinars that balance technical depth with commercial value.
  • Collaborate on and help evolve Vega's GTM strategy — including pricing, packaging, tiering, and monetization — as the product and market mature.
  • Drive competitive intelligence efforts, turning market insights into actionable positioning and sales strategies.
  • Position Vega as the category-defining voice in the AI-native security analytics space.
Requirements

What You Will Bring

  • Proven experience managing and growing a product marketing or technical PMM team, with a track record of developing talent and building high-functioning teams in startup or high-growth environments.
  • Comfortable operating as both a strategic leader and a hands-on executor — able to zoom out to set direction and zoom in when the work demands it.
  • Strong cross-functional influence skills, with experience aligning Product, Sales, and Marketing around a shared narrative and GTM motion.
  • Strong command of cybersecurity concepts including KQL, MITRE ATT&CK, log pipelines, threat detection, data correlation, detection content, and enrichment.
  • Deep understanding of how SIEM, XDR, SOAR, EDR, and security data lakes fit into modern security stacks, and the ability to translate nuanced technical functionality into sharp competitive differentiation.
  • Deep familiarity with the security buyer landscape: detection engineers, SOC managers, architects, compliance teams, and CISOs.
  • Experience working alongside or competing with leading vendors such as Splunk, CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Panther, Chronicle, Sumo Logic, or Elastic.
  • Has independently led multiple successful product and feature launches with measurable business impact.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve sales performance through effective enablement, messaging, and field alignment.
  • Extensive B2B cybersecurity marketing experience, ideally in fast-paced, high-growth startup environments.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft and deliver a clear, compelling story to both technical and executive audiences.
  • A collaborative, low-ego mindset with a proven track record of building strong relationships across functions.
