The Email Marketing Specialist will plan, execute, and optimize email campaigns, manage segmented contact lists, and analyze performance metrics to drive eCommerce growth.
This is a remote position.
We’re looking for an Email Marketing Specialist with a solid understanding of marketing automation, customer journey flows, and eCommerce growth levers.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, build, and execute email campaigns and automated flows (e.g., welcome, abandoned cart, post-purchase, re-engagement) in HubSpot
- Support broader lifecycle marketing strategies with hands-on execution and optimization
- Collaborate with content and design teams to produce email assets that reflect brand tone and drive conversion
- Implement segmentation strategies to target specific audiences and improve deliverability and engagement
- Track and report on key performance metrics (open rates, CTR, CVR, etc.), identifying insights and opportunities
- Conduct A/B testing on subject lines, copy, design, and send times to optimize performance
- Maintain and organize contact lists, ensuring data hygiene and compliance with email regulations (e.g., GDPR, CAN-SPAM)
- Stay current with best practices and trends in email marketing and eCommerce automation
- Occasionally assist in cross-channel campaign alignment (e.g., paid media, landing pages, pop-ups)
Requirements
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience in email marketing, ideally in eCommerce or DTC
- Proficient with HubSpot (flows, lists, segmentation, reporting); experience with Klaviyo is a plus
- Strong analytical skills to interpret email KPIs and recommend data-driven actions
- Good eye for design and UX within email templates (no need to code, but basic editing/design skills a plus)
- Strong copy instincts and attention to detail
- Comfortable working independently and in collaboration with creative and growth teams
- Familiarity with eCommerce platforms like Shopify is preferred
- Experience with multi-channel lifecycle strategies (email, SMS, pop-ups)
- Knowledge of CRO tactics and landing page/email alignment
- Exposure to performance marketing and its impact on retention/email strategy
