The E-commerce Product Catalog & Research Analyst ensures data integrity, optimizes product listings for SEO, and supports merchandising strategies through research and analysis.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical E-commerce Product Catalog & Research Analyst to manage the integrity, accuracy, and quality of product data across various e-commerce platforms and internal CMS tools. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining high standards for catalog content, optimizing product listings for SEO, and supporting the digital merchandising strategy through continuous research and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee product catalog data integrity across e-commerce platforms and internal content management systems (CMS).
- Review and enhance product titles, descriptions, images, metadata, and categorization to ensure alignment with SEO best practices and platform-specific requirements (Amazon, Flipkart, Shopify, etc.).
- Conduct regular audits of product listings to ensure design, content, and merchandising accuracy.
- Identify and correct listing errors, inconsistencies, or mismatches across platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, content, and design to ensure high-quality product representation.
- Stay updated on platform policies, competitor listings, and category trends to inform catalog improvements.
- Research and analyze catalog performance metrics to support decision-making and optimization strategies.
- Assist in building and maintaining product taxonomies and attribute structures for new and existing SKUs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, E-commerce, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in product catalog management, e-commerce operations, or a similar analytical/content role.
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (Amazon Seller Central, Flipkart Seller Hub, Shopify, Magento etc.) and CMS tools.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to handle large volumes of product data.
- Good understanding of SEO, product taxonomy, and digital merchandising best practices.
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and basic data analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with PIM systems or catalog automation tools.
- Exposure to analytics tools (Google Analytics, Data Studio) for tracking product performance.
