About the Role
 

Join Flinders University's Curriculum Impact team and help deliver innovative education partnerships, workforce development initiatives and Australia's leading Degree Apprenticeships program that are transforming how people learn and work.
 

As the Education Partnerships and Engagement Officer, you will support the development and delivery of strategic education partnerships and curriculum initiatives that advance Flinders University's Agenda 2035 goal to improve 10 million lives by 2035.
 

Working closely with academics, professional staff, industry, government, schools and community groups, you will coordinate projects from planning through to delivery and evaluation. You will help bring people together around shared goals, support strong governance and project management, and contribute to clear outcomes across a range of education partnership activities.
 

A significant focus of the role is supporting emerging programs such as Flinders University's nation-leading Degree Apprenticeships program. Through this work, you will contribute to new education and employment pathways, workforce-focused curriculum initiatives and partnerships that respond to current and future skills needs.
 

Your work will include coordinating project plans, timelines, stakeholder engagement activities, meetings, workshops and events, while also developing clear written materials for a range of audiences. This may include drafting newsletter content, marketing copy, project updates, briefing notes, presentations and reports. You will also maintain accurate records and dashboards to support effective delivery, decision-making and continuous improvement.

About You
 

You are a highly organised and proactive professional who enjoys bringing people together to deliver practical outcomes.
 

With experience coordinating projects and initiatives from planning through to implementation, monitoring and evaluation, you are confident managing competing priorities, maintaining accurate records and delivering quality work within agreed frameworks. Strong communication skills enable you to write clearly and adapt content for different purposes, audiences and channels.
 

Known for a customer-focused approach, you build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Whether working with colleagues, industry partners, government, schools or community organisations, you take pride in providing a responsive, professional and helpful service that meets and exceeds expectations.

A genuine interest in emerging programs and new ideas is complemented by a curious mindset, thoughtful questioning and a focus on practical improvements. This approach helps strengthen partnerships, refine processes and support better outcomes.

Success in this role will come from thriving in a close-knit, collaborative team environment where knowledge is shared, colleagues support one another and everyone works together to deliver programs and projects that make a difference.

To be successful in this role, you will also demonstrate:

• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships with internal staff, industry partners, schools, community groups and government representatives, adopting a customer-focused approach that delivers positive outcomes.

• Well-developed communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear and concise reports, briefing notes, presentations and other written materials for a range of audiences.

• Previous experience supporting the planning and delivery of events, workshops or community engagement activities, including coordinating logistics and contributing to associated communications.

• A curious mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement, and the ability to contribute positively to an inclusive, collaborative and student-centred team culture.

• The ability to work proactively under general direction to achieve operational outcomes.

It is expected that the successful candidate will have completed a relevant degree with subsequent relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and/or training.

Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Students)
 

The Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Students) provides administrative support to key strategic and operational functions of the University’s student-related and academic services.
