WHO WE ARE
Headquartered in the historic Chicago Board of Trade, PEAK6 Capital Management is a proprietary options trading firm that has been defining the industry for more than 25 years. While many firms have come and gone, PEAK6 Capital Management has consistently delivered liquidity to the options market. We thrive due to our firm's special blend of financial acumen, ability to manage risk, and cutting-edge technology.
Our success is driven by our team of technologists, engineers, and traders who leverage proprietary tech and a data-centric approach to maintain inventory and stay ahead of the markets, so customers can, too.
We are committed to providing dependable liquidity, which is crucial for market stability, investor confidence, and efficient trading across asset classes.
ABOUT THIS ROLE
We are seeking a Trading Education Program Specialist to join our Trading Education team. This is an opportunity to directly impact the growth and evolution of future traders at PEAK6. You'll work closely with business stakeholders and trading leaders to design, build, and deliver content and learning experiences that bridge the gap between theory and real-world trading.
In the first 6 months, you'll learn our business, products, and strategies by going through our Trading Associate (TA) program-including Series 57 licensing, and eventually Series 24 for future people management. You'll make an immediate impact and help run our TA programs and manage trading bootcamps and internships.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to conduct learning needs analysis for trading education programs.
  • Translate business requirements into actionable curriculum maps and engaging educational content for a variety of program types (bootcamps, internships, entry-level roles).
  • Build, adapt, and deliver learning modules focused on trading, emphasizing options trading fundamentals: identifying, evaluating, and executing trades.
  • Manage and help deliver core programs, including scheduling, content deployment, participant tracking, and feedback collection.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in instructional design, continually improving program materials based on data, learner feedback, and evolving business needs.
  • Receive hands-on training in PEAK6 proprietary strategies and systems; ultimately co-facilitate or lead trading education sessions as part of your growth plan.
  • Work toward and obtain Series 57; become eligible for Series 24 to support program management and personnel development.

YOUR EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 0-3 years of professional experience in education or curriculum design
  • Demonstrated experience working with numbers, data, and/or highly technical concepts
  • Comfortable discussing trading concepts - you can clearly articulate trading principals and think through market or probability-based scenarios.
  • Strong interest in options trading and trade decision-making. Financial markets knowledge preferred.
  • Excellent communication, instructional design, and project management skills.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional business partners and subject matter experts.
  • Adaptability and curiosity; excited to learn and teach trading strategies
  • Willingness to work onsite in one of our offices.

Preferred
  • Exposure to options trading or capital markets is a plus.
  • Experience teaching, mentoring, or facilitating in-person or virtual learning sessions.

OUR REWARDS
We offer a robust package of employee perks and benefits, including healthcare benefits (medical, dental and vision, EAP), competitive PTO, 401k match, parental leave, and HSA contribution match. We also provide our employees with a paid subscription to the Calm app and offer generous external learning and tuition reimbursement benefits. As a hybrid workforce, we offer our employees the ability to work remotely up to two days a week.
Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and office location. This position also may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in addition to a range of health & wellness benefits, enhancing your overall compensation package.
Base Salary Range
$88,400-$110,500
