This position offers the opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team on a diverse range of brownfield and greenfield projects
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electrical design for industrial facilities, including power distribution, lighting, grounding, and motor control systems.
- Develop electrical single-line diagrams, cable schedules, and layout drawings.
- Conduct load calculations, short circuit, and arc flash studies.
- Prepare technical specifications, datasheets, and procurement packages.
- Review vendor documentation and coordinate technical input across disciplines.
- Support field construction, commissioning, and startup activities as required.
- Ensure all designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and client specifications (NEC, NFPA, IEEE, API, etc.).
- Participate in internal and client design reviews, providing clear technical recommendations.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years of electrical design experience within oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial projects.
- Experience with AutoCAD and electrical design tools such as ETAP or SKM.
- Strong understanding of power systems, MCC design, instrumentation, and control systems integration.
- P.E. license or eligibility considered an asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and detail-oriented approach.
