Assist in various Electrical Engineering tasks including design, calculations, and development of diagrams under supervision while learning essential skills.
Responsibilities:
- Entry level knowledge within the Electrical Engineering discipline with the capabilities and the initiative to perform tasks with supervisory/mentor assistance as required
- Ability to learn technical skills and assist with low & medium power distribution design and layout
- Become familiar with and assist with substation design, short circuit analysis, and ARC flash studies
- Assist with development of wiring diagrams and schematics
- Assist with electrical calculations including short circuit, load flow, arc flash, motor starting, harmonic, device coordination, and voltage drop
- Design conduit, cable tray, and underground duct bank
- Verify field conditions as needed
- Learn P&ID development
- Become familiar with instrumentation selection and specifications
- Assist with instrument loop diagrams, location plans, and installations details
- Learn the development of sequence of operation and functional description documents
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering
- 0-3 Years of experience working as an Electrical Engineer
- Must be well organized and able to prioritize work
- Ability to set and track goals
- Ability to multi-task and work on more than one project at a time
- Able to commit to and meet project deadlines, and driven to provide outstanding service to both external and internal customers
- Willing to take ownership of work through project completion
- Must be able to work in the US now and in the future without sponsorship
