As we continue to scale across appointments, memberships, and eCommerce, we are seeking a highly skilled Email Lifecycle Marketer to build, optimize, and audit our customer lifecycle infrastructure across all revenue streams.

Role Overview

As the
Email Lifecycle Marketer
at Formula Fig, you will be responsible for designing, building, auditing, and optimizing Klaviyo lifecycle automations that drive appointment bookings, membership retention, and eCommerce revenue.

This role will focus on closing critical gaps in our lifecycle ecosystem, including appointment conversion flows, membership retention programs, win-back automations, post-purchase journeys, segmentation architecture, deliverability optimization, and performance reporting.

The successful candidate will create scalable automation systems that improve guest engagement while driving measurable revenue growth across the business.

The Email Lifecycle Marketer will report to the Head of Digital & Technology and work cross-functionally with Marketing, Guest Experience, Memberships, Medical Operations, and Leadership.

Role Responsibilities:

Lifecycle Strategy & Automation Development

  • Build and deploy  critical lifecycle flows currently missing from the Formula Fig ecosystem.
  • Design customer journeys across appointment bookings, memberships, and eCommerce.
  • Create automated retention, re-engagement, win-back, onboarding, and cross-sell programs.
  • Management and Creation of the Lists and Segmentation of clients 

Membership Retention & Revenue Recovery

  • Build membership retention sequences designed to reduce churn and increase recurring revenue.
  • Create cancellation save flows, win-back campaigns, renewal reminders, and lapsed-member engagement programs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve member utilization and engagement through automated communications.

Appointment Conversion Optimization

  • Build and optimize appointment-focused lifecycle flows including welcome journeys, lead nurturing, booking conversion, and reactivation campaigns.
  • Create automated pathways that drive new guest acquisition and increase repeat bookings.
  • Monitor performance against appointment conversion benchmarks.

Email Systems Audit & Optimization

  • Conduct a full audit of existing live flows to ensure proper functionality, segmentation accuracy, and brand alignment.
  • Review automation architecture, trigger logic, suppression rules, and deliverability best practices.
  • Identify which systems should be the primary sender of the email campaigns. 

Segmentation & Data Infrastructure

  • Create and maintain customer segments supporting lifecycle marketing initiatives.
  • Ensure accurate data flow between Klaviyo, Mindbody, Shopify, and other integrated platforms.
  • Develop audience frameworks that support personalization and targeted communication.

Reporting & Performance Analysis

  • Establish reporting frameworks across appointments, memberships, and eCommerce.
  • Monitor flow performance, conversion rates, deliverability, and revenue attribution.
  • Provide actionable recommendations to improve program effectiveness.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate copy, creative, and content requirements required to launch automations.

Role Qualifications:

Klaviyo Expertise

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience building and managing advanced Klaviyo lifecycle programs.
  • Experience with MindBody Online’s Marketing Suite 
  • Proven experience developing flows, segments, campaigns, and reporting frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of lifecycle marketing best practices and customer journey design.

CRM & Retention Marketing

  • Demonstrated success improving customer retention, engagement, and lifecycle revenue.
  • Experience building win-back, onboarding, renewal, cross-sell, and loyalty programs.
  • Strong understanding of subscription or membership-based business models.

Technical & Analytical Skills

  • Experience working with customer data, integrations, and marketing automation platforms.
  • Ability to analyze performance metrics and translate data into actionable recommendations.
  • Strong understanding of deliverability, segmentation strategy, and attribution reporting.

Project Management

  • Ability to independently manage multiple workstreams while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience translating business goals into lifecycle marketing solutions.

Beauty, Wellness, or Consumer Experience (Preferred)

  • Experience working with beauty, wellness, healthcare, retail, subscription, or consumer brands is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Mindbody, Shopify, Recharge, or similar customer ecosystems is considered an asset.

Project Scope

Phase 1: Build & Launch (4 Weeks) 

Objective: Create and Configure Customer Life Cycle 

  • Establish the process for which type of emails are sent from the correct system (MBO / Klayvio) 
  • Establish a Customer Lifecycle Journey for new clients, existing clients and membership program 
  • Task out email design, copy creation to respective teams. 
  • Create  supporting customer segments and lists. 
  • Have a baseline of flows and automations operating within the first Phase. (59 Flows) 

Key Result:  Self Operating Customer Life Cycle flows and segmentation. 

Phase 2: Audit & Optimization (2 Weeks)

  • Build and launch all missing lifecycle flows that support our 3 main business units.
  • Optimize our nurture campaigns and promotional campaigns 
  • Create a roadmap for future flows and automated emails (Post-Treatment, Reviews)
