Resource Innovations is seeking an Energy Efficiency Project Coordinator to join our growing team in the Chicago area. As a Project Coordinator with Resource Innovations, you will work in a dynamic environment supporting large scale commercial and industrial energy efficiency programs. The Project Coordinator must be able to manage multiple tasks and respond quickly to program changes or challenges.  We are looking for an exceptional person who enjoys working in an innovative environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Educate and assist service providers and customers with program participation by answering energy efficiency program questions, reviewing project assessments and equipment specifications, and providing guidance on the application process.
  • Conduct comprehensive energy assessments/audits for commercial, retail, and public customers.
  • Support and train subcontractors/service providers on performing comprehensive energy assessments and provide technical and non-technical support to successfully participate in energy efficiency incentive program offerings.
  • Conduct on-site inspections to verify installation and operation of baseline and replacement energy efficient equipment. 
  • Establish and maintain a professional customer rapport, including identifying and anticipating customer needs and proposing solutions.
  • Promptly and accurately address customer concerns to assure problem resolution and promote long-term productive relationships.
  • Understand the organization and decision-making process to work with stakeholders in determining project eligibility, schedule, and potential energy savings.
  • Perform and review energy savings calculations for evaluating energy savings and environmental impact.
  • Provide technical and customer support to energy efficiency incentive program participants.
  • Manage on-time delivery of technical reports to customers and subcontractors/service providers as needed.
  • Efficiently manage multiple projects, provide timely updates, and ensure our customers and subcontractors/service providers are up to date with program information.
  • Communicate efficiently with subcontractors/service providers, customers, and clients to meet program requirements.
  • Proficient skills with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements
  • BA or BS degree in a STEM field – Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, or Business Management, Construction Management or a related field
  • 1-3 years of project coordination experience or similar within the energy efficiency industry
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully coordinate multiple projects and work with technical staff
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, presentation, and analytical skills
  • Proficient in MS office suite including Excel and Word and the ability to learn and operate company proprietary software
  • Must have IL driver’s license and be able to travel locally up to approximately 25% of the time
  • Interest in sustainability and passionate about making a meaningful impact on the environment.

Preferred skills, education and experience

  • An understanding of building energy systems preferred (particularly lighting, HVAC, and refrigeration) and/or sustainability is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

Resource Innovations offers competitive salaries based on a candidate's skills, experience and qualifications for the position.  The compensation range for the base salary for this position is $70,000 - $75,000  In addition to base pay, employees are eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.  The stated salary represents the expected compensation for this position.  Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as the candidate's experience, education and location. 

We also offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes three weeks of paid vacation per year; paid holidays; a 401(k)-retirement plan with employer matching; health, dental and vision insurance; and other supplemental benefits. 

Employment with Resource Innovations is contingent upon the successful completion of a comprehensive background check and reference check. If applicable to the position, a pre-employment drug screen may also be required.
