Our Engagement Managers are builders, coaches, and trusted advisors who turn complex programs into smooth, successful deliveries. The Role

The Engagement Manager role blends dynamic leadership with hands-on delivery. You will create the plans that guide our work, keep budgets and timelines on track, and build strong relationships with client stakeholders. You will also roll up your sleeves to develop essential artifacts like charters, staffing plans, and issue logs while coaching consultants to do their best work.

What you will do
  • Apply The Groove’s Implementation Methodology consistently across engagements and elevate it with your experience

  • Lead Workday programs with a focus on HCM and or Financials, from planning through deployment and stabilization

  • Partner with client project managers to anticipate risks, resolve issues, and protect scope and timelines

  • Build and manage project teams, ensuring the right skills and capacity at the right time

  • Mentor consultants with clear feedback, practical guidance, and growth opportunities

  • Own financial health for your projects and deliver within the budget in the SOW

  • Keep communications crisp and timely so clients always know where things stand

  • Ensure project artifacts are complete, accurate, and useful beyond go live

  • Support the sales cycle as needed by shaping delivery approaches and contributing to proposals and SOWs

  • Juggle multiple product implementations and keep each one moving forward

What you will bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Business Information Systems, or a related field

  • Experience leading technology implementations in consulting environments; Workday background is a plus

  • Working knowledge of web services and enterprise applications or ERP concepts

  • Excellent communication skills in writing and in conversation, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders

  • Detail orientation with strong analytical instincts and advanced Excel skills

  • Comfort in fast moving environments with competing priorities and changing context

  • Ability to work autonomously and travel up to 30 percent when needed

  • Background in HR, Finance, or Payroll operations is helpful; PMP certification is a plus
