POSITION SUMMARY

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Enterprise Data Architect to join our talented team.  In this role, the Data Architect will work within the Engineering department and partner with other teams to design, build and maintain data architecture.  The Data Architect will be responsible for oversight of the strategic direction of database architecture, as well as for partnering with various teams and stakeholders to ensure that the organization’s architecture, databases and enterprise data solutions are tailored to support organizational business objectives and requirements.  The ideal candidate will have a background in data engineering, analysis, and exposure to cloud-based platforms.

WHAT WILL YOU BE INVOLVED WITH?

  • Designing the strategic direction of architecture for company-wide data for both operational and analytical needs
  • Document current state data flows covering interfaces, data stores, transport technologies and the source and destination of data
  • Covers service-level requirements such as availability, volume of data, response time, and security and privacy
  • Provides guidance to application development areas by applying knowledge of data warehouse design, extract-transform-load (ETL) design and development
  • Support the creation and implementation of data strategy and future state architecture
  • Analyze loads and performance, and suggest solutions to bottlenecks
  • Implement review processes and database migrations
  • Suggest and work collaboratively to implement architectural improvements
  • Refactor and work collaboratively to improve our overall data management lifecycle – backups, long term retention, disaster recovery
  • Design and implement effective database solutions to capture, store and track business data in real-time
  • Define and implement architectural guidelines for high-velocity data processing infrastructure
  • Collaborate with security architect to ensure data security and privacy compliance for end-to-end data lifecycle management activities

QUALIFICATIONS & TT CULTURE

  • What You Bring to the Table:
    • Expertise and proven experience in database design and architecture
    • Experience building data warehouse and OLTP solutions at scale in a globally distributed environment
    • Proficiency with MySQL, NoSQL and proven coding/development experience with Java/Python/C++
    • Experience with designing data lake and defining interfaces to provide secure access to users for interested structured/unstructured data
    • Hands-on experience architecting and building streaming data applications
    • Proven experience adopting emerging standards and new technologies to formulate enterprise analytics data platforms
    • Proven expertise with modern data security best practices
    • Extensive experience with data services provided by cloud provides (AWS and GCP) and their optimal integration with data applications
    • A strong understanding of data analytics and visualization
