About the role.
We are hiring a full-time Frontend Growth Engineer to create compelling website experiences that increase new subscriber growth. You will be joining a new growth team at the company to design, build, and test new flows and product experiences to convert prospects into customers. This team will immerse itself in funnel data, hypothesize product improvements, and test those hypotheses with quick, low cost experiments to understand what performs best.
You will need a growth mindset and be willing to try new things, fail at some, and scale those that work. Technically, you should be able to quickly pick up unfamiliar technologies, learn, and deploy working versions quickly. Your job will be to prove that concepts work, so scrappy problem solving is a must. Apply if you are a curious engineer looking to make an immediate impact and do some fast learning.

How you'll spend your time at Tovala.

• You will own the front-end development for our prospect facing web experience and collaborate with designers and PMs to launch new experiments, iterate and improve existing flows, and build new experiences that will increase purchase intent.
• You will drive and execute new product experiences based on prospect insights and user feedback.
• You will participate in QA and design reviews to help deliver a great UX
• You will improve page performance, scalability, and web infrastructure
• You will write clean, well-tested, and performant code, using JavaScript, React and styled components
• You will grow your skills in a collaborative environment with opportunities to learn and share with others

Requirements
About you.

• You have a 4-year degree in Computer Science/Engineering or relevant experience
• You have 3+ years of front-end development experience and a deep understanding of Javascript, HTML and CSS
• You have experience building responsive applications with React, Redux, and modern browser technologies
• You know how to build fast-loading experiences with tools like Lighthouse and Google PageSpeed
• You have a growth mindset (key!)
• You have an ability to assess performance through metrics, and suggest improvements.
• You are a strong communicator and collaborator who likes to find ways to build product that makes our marketing funnel more efficient
• You enjoy solving business problems and defining your own work
