Job Description
TITLE: Lead Cloud Engineer
DUTIES: DFS Corporate Services LLC seeks Lead Cloud Engineer in Riverwoods, IL to participate in the technical design, deployment, monitoring and ongoing support and maintenance of a diverse set of cloud technologies. Perform automation, resilient design and deployment of cloud ready system and services. Collaborate with Product teams internal and external to IS to provide world class products and services in support of our application development community and our business as a whole. Responsible for full-stack engineering and support of products that support our hybrid cloud capabilities. Drive continuous improvement of products and capabilities through internal user groups and external market research. Partner with key stakeholders as a platform champion for cloud-native systems, and coach on how to use platform capabilities effectively through appropriate venues. Operationalize data management and governance tools on an open source framework. Promote a risk-aware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information System, Software Engineer, Information Technology or a related field and four (4) years of experience in job offered or related position: building, delivering, and maintaining cloud platforms to support agile teams; performing data migration from on premises environments to AWS; designing and implementing availability, scalability, and performance plans for the AWS managed service environment; assisting application development teams during application design and development; working in AWS environment utilizing Compute Services (EC2, ELB), Storage Services (S3, Glacier, Block Storage, Lifecycle Management policies), Cloud Formation (JSON Template), Elastic Beanstalk, Lambda, VPC, RDS, Trusted Advisor and Cloud Watch. In the alternative, the employer will accept three (3) years of study toward a Bachelor’s degree in the above-listed fields and two (2) years of experience in information technology to meet the educational requirement.
