Job Description:
TITLE: Senior Manager, Programming
DUTIES: DFS Corporate Services LLC seeks Senior Manager, Programming in Riverwoods, IL to lead application operations team in the Discover Banking BT department to direct a Level 1 and Level 2 support team for the Core Banking Finacle Application. The Finacle application is the core banking system that services Deposit, Discover Personal Loans and the Discover Student Loan portfolio Support project scoping and requirements analysis of new projects and initiatives. Support delivery of projects and ensure production availability goals are met. Coordinate Change control and problem management and resolve system related incidents for production and pre-production environments. Work with command center , internal technology teams and external vendors to ensure all issues including Level 1, Level 2 are resolved Ensure all application monitoring needs are met by leading the development of application health rules and dashboards. Ensure reported production outages are communicated and resolved in an expeditious manner. Lead the coordination and execution of all platform changes for the Finacle application. Support all Audit and Compliance projects, ensure compliance with all security and audit requirements. Respond to and manage all security vulnerabilities for the Core Banking Platform .Support new performance and capacity management group for the banking applications. Lead a group of team members to build a technical end to end view of the Finacle Platform that supports the 3 lines on business. Build a knowledge base on the team to understand the technical environment that the Banking Applications run under and provide direction to transform the department to take advantage of DevOps and CI/CD concepts. Support development of application and executive dashboards and enhance monitoring for the Banking business using the company’s standard monitoring and logging tools. Support relationship management with 3rd party vendors. Promote a risk-aware culture to ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes.
Skills:
REQUIREMENTS : Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related quantitative field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation: performing technical project management including leading development and implementation of architecture initiatives; supervising cross-functional teams including management of onsite and offshore team members, and providing L1 and L2 support; troubleshooting complex applications utilizing WebSphere , including defining and modifying WebSphere configurations; architecting infrastructure enhancements to support virtualization, centralized logging, scripting, and automation; managing production support, security and audit, release management, capacity planning, performance management, problem management and change management; utilizing Unix AIX and Linux operating systems; researching cloud technologies; utilizing Java, J2EE, JBoss, Oracle, Jenkins, Github, Chef, AppDynamics and Nexus. Two (2) years of experience must include managing projects with Finacle Core Banking solution architecture; implementing continuous integration / continuous delivery (CI/CD) methodology; and creating custom dashboards in Kibana.
