Software Engineer – C# WEX Billing and Trading System Utilities (Remote Opportunity- US Only)
We are seeking passionate and motivated programmers to join our team of Software Engineers responsible for building back-office systems that support our order routing, execution, and management system. With our constantly growing client base and the ever-changing demands of markets and financial technology worldwide, these systems are in a constant state of improvement and expansion. What You’ll Do
- Gain knowledge of the inner workings of the financial industry
- Engage in full cycle development of back-office systems. Take technical ownership of systems such as real-time server monitoring infrastructure and billing infrastructure
- Communicate with stakeholders to identify issues and develop improvements to these systems
- Immerse yourself in a highly collaborative environment with technical and business peers. Generate ideas to optimize, modernize, and simplify our system, as well as ways to improve usability and scalability
- Keep abreast of emerging technologies, new language features, and new APIs or tools
- Communicate technical knowledge to both technical and non-technical audiences
What We’re Looking For
- Top-notch coding skills in C# .NET (preferred) or C/C++, with a solid foundation in data structures
- Excitement for software engineering
- Dedication to testing
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Passion for writing clean high quality code
- Desire to actively participate in the code review process as a reviewer and reviewee
- Willingness to collaborate and learn from other team members
- Ability to take ownership over projects and be self-directed on what needs to happen next
- Strong communication skills with both engineers and people without a technical background
- Experience with SQL database
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent
