Job Description
SmartRent is looking for a high-performing Enterprise Sales Director to own and grow a portfolio of 4–5 high-potential clients. These accounts represent massive growth opportunities through property and product expansion.
Your job isn’t just to sell, it’s to become a trusted partner to your accounts, deeply understand their organizational structure and roadmap, and expand our footprint with these accounts from ~15% adoption to 75%+. This role requires exceptional enterprise sales acumen, strategic thinking, and a highly collaborative, cross-functional mindset.
Responsibilities
- Own 4–5 highly strategic, national accounts with a mandate to drive deep, multi-phase growth
- Build and execute comprehensive account strategies that align with each customer's portfolio roadmap, operational goals, and investment timelines
- Engage and build relationships with senior decision-makers and cross-functional stakeholders
- Drive significant expansion revenue by deeply embedding SmartRent’s platform into property operations
- Partner closely with internal teams including Product, Customer Success, Solutions Engineering, Finance and Marketing to deliver customized strategies and enterprise-level experiences
- Lead multi-threaded pursuits across business units and regional portfolios
- Identify and influence internal blockers to growth and work cross-functionally to remove them
- Serve as a strategic thought partner to the customer
Required Qualifications
- 7–10+ years of experience in enterprise B2B sales
- 5 years experience managing large, complex accounts with multiple stakeholders and business units
- Proven success growing under-penetrated accounts into enterprise-wide, multi-product relationships
- Ability to build trusted relationships with all levels of the organization in addition to C-level and VP-level executives
- Excellent communication, presentation, and executive briefing skills
- Experience in PropTech, complex SaaS/platform or real estate technology required and IoT is strongly preferred
- Highly collaborative, thrives in a cross-functional, fast-moving environment
- Salesforce, Gong, ZoomInfo, and account planning frameworks
- Strong data literacy, able to build and defend business cases, value realization, and ROI
