Job Description

As an Enterprise Software Architect you will be responsible for the ongoing design of our revolutionary Sports Betting and Trading platform.

This pivotal role is at the heart of our innovation efforts, ensuring that our new offerings are not only groundbreaking but also scalable, maintainable, and seamlessly integrated with our overarching platform architecture vision.

As a driving force behind theses initiatives, you will collaborate closely with fellow Architects and technical leadership teams, setting the strategic architectural direction and driving out architectural roadmaps to deliver impactful change.

The listed salary for this position is $150,000 - $185,000 annually.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in distributed systems architecture, high throughput/low latency systems, high availability, functional/immutable data models, micro-services, N-tiered architecture, and classic infrastructure fields.
  • Experience in Cloud technologies and designing for the Cloud is a must. Google GCP expertise is desirable.
  • Prior experience in designing or working on trading systems, particularly within the financial or gambling sectors, is highly desirable.
  • Specific experience in the Sports betting industry will be considered a significant advantage.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of managing multiple streams of activity and adept at shifting focus as required.
  • A self-motivated initiator, capable of working autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • A profound passion for technology, underpinned by robust engineering principles and leadership capabilities.
  • Recognized expertise in core departmental technologies, with a strong ability to solve problems creatively and devise innovative solutions.
  • Proficient in abstracting and simplifying complex systems for stakeholder comprehension.
  • A proven track record of creating greenfield solutions at an enterprise level and scale, demonstrating the ability to innovate from the ground up within complex environments.

Additional Information

  • Spearhead the architectural design and strategy for our next-generation US Sports Betting and Trading platform, serving as a primary initiator and visionary behind its development.
  • Evaluate the impact of architectural solutions on the broader technology ecosystem, engaging with all relevant stakeholders to ensure a holistic understanding and garnering comprehensive support.
  • Craft vision documents and other artifacts to effectively communicate and champion the architecture, facilitating the widespread adoption of the architectural strategy.
  • Proactively mitigate technical risks by initiating and overseeing Proofs of Concept (POC) to validate and refine architectural decisions.
  • Articulate and advocate for the architectural vision to Senior Management and Technical Leadership teams, ensuring alignment and securing organizational buy-in.
  • Provide rigorous support and governance to ensure that both the technical and engineered solutions are in strict adherence to the architectural vision.
  • Act as the department's architectural ambassador in broader discussions, advocating for our specific needs and ensuring they are adequately addressed.
  • Forge strong collaborations with the department’s Leadership teams to continuously evolve and enhance the architecture of our products.
  • Lead the integration efforts of any 3rd party COTS solutions by liaising with external architects and technical representatives, ensuring all governance and architectural considerations are meticulously addressed.
  • Drive the development of cross-departmental architectural solutions, orchestrating efforts among departmental architects and technical leadership to achieve a unified and effective solution.
  • Develop and maintain strategic artifacts such as Target Operating Models, Roadmaps, and Governance Frameworks to guide and inform the architectural journey.
