Summary:

In this role, you will play a key role in advancing Vizient’s external Environmental Sustainability Strategy and Services to clients, suppliers, and all stakeholders. You will work cross-functionally to lead Environmental Sustainability services and solutions including strategy development, operations and the delivery, implementation, and client success of Vizient’s climate performance solutions offerings.

Responsibilities:

•    Develop a strategic approach to Environmental Sustainability services and solutions, direct Environmental Sustainability operations and lead the implementation of services and insights across Vizient’s clients and supplier base.
•    Lead the operations for Climate Performance Solutions, a comprehensive approach to integrate sustainable practices including conducting greenhouse gas assessments and accelerating climate performance management
•    Serve as the expert within Environmental Sustainability for clients, suppliers, Vizient spend management delivery team, and other internal and external stakeholders.
•    Partner with Vizient clients and suppliers to increase engagement and expand Environmental Sustainability initiatives 
•    Partner with cross functional teams to ensure alignment for market competitiveness across Impact Spend services and technology offerings.
•    Communicate industry trends and insights, and key market enhancements to internal and external key stakeholders.
•    Partner with Marketing to produce strategic approaches for clients and suppliers that align with overall Impact Spend marketing strategy.

Qualifications: 

•    Relevant degree preferred. Degree or certification in sustainability preferred.
•    7 or more years of relevant experience.
•    Deep understanding of sustainability practices within the healthcare industry, particularly in supply chain management, with knowledge of carbon accounting, ESG standards, and GHG assessments highly preferred.
•    Experience developing and leading sustainability services, solutions, and operational strategies to drive climate performance management.
•    Proven ability to collaborate with providers, suppliers, and internal teams to implement and expand sustainability initiatives.
•    Strong grasp of sustainability trends, regulations, and best practices, including environmental impact and supply chain sustainability.
•    Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey insights, strategies, and market trends to internal and external stakeholders.
•    Ability to travel regularly and expeditiously throughout the year to meet clients’ needs and timetables.
 

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $102,400.00 to $179,000.00.
