JOB SUMMARY: The Senior SSIS Developer is a member of the IT Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse team and is responsible for directly supporting the daily administration of the Business Intelligence solutions, developing advanced administration and reporting management tools, and guiding the aggressive expansion of our complex Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse (BI/DW) environment. This position provides technical thought leadership both within the Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse team and in front of our business leaders.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Develop, maintain, and administer complex ETL processes using MS SQL Server 2005/2008/2012 (DTS and SSIS)

Provide thought leadership on data and system architecture, system administration, schedule management, performance tuning, and expansion

Participate in ongoing DW/BI performance tuning activities

Provide maintenance and 2nd-tier production support for a self-service business intelligence environment

Develop, troubleshoot and fine tune existing and new reports

Evaluate and implement products and implement best-practices to enhance our BI/DW solution

Provide expertise on decisions and priorities regarding the enterprise’s overall data warehouse architecture

Facilitate the development of data integration efforts with the development team

Develop, manage and maintain data models, including physical and logical models of the data warehouse, data marts, development and staging areas and source systems as necessary to meet new and changing business requirements

Expand the company’s use of data as a strategic enabler of corporate goals and objectives

Establish methods and procedures for tracking data quality, completeness, redundancy and improvement; and processes for governing the identification, collection and use of corporate metadata to assure metadata is accurate and valid in the business intelligence environments

Be able to define requirements, analyze data, design solutions, program, test, implement, and train end-users and fellow IT team members.

Other duties as directed by management

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

B.S. in Computer Science or similar field, M.S. or MBA preferred

7 years of experience developing, maintaining and administering MS SQL Server 2005/2008/2012 databases.

7 years of experience with Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse products

5 years of hands on ETL experience with complicated SSIS Package coding and maintenance.

Business Objects XI/BI4.X experience desired

Experience with installation, configuration and stabilization of medium- to large-scale Business Intelligence implementations

5 years of experience with Data Modeling tools such as Erwin.

Experience working with and managing SAN technology preferred

Knowledge of LDAP and Active Directory preferred

Demonstrable technical thought leadership and influencing skills

Strong oral and written communication skills

Able to work in a projects-based, team environment

Proficient in multi-tasking and managing multiple projects, able to meet target completion dates
