Job Description

ETL / SQL QA (Datastage preferred but not required/just ETL skills)

Location: Downers Grove, IL

Duration: 6 month increments – ongoing – up to 3 years

Position Overview:

The position of a Quality Assurance Analyst II is responsible for developing test plans, developing and executing formal test cases to ensure the delivery of quality software application. Design, write and edit test cases to ensure software functions as designed. Review system use cases and functional specifications with the appropriate business analyst. Conduct test cases peer review. Ensure all levels of testing are conducted with adequate coverage. Identify potential problems, omissions and open issues, attend walkthroughs and signoff meetings. Manage the release cycle, identify Quality risks, escalate issues in a timely manner and manage defects to closure.

Must participate in and possess experience performing the following tasks.

• Requirements Analysis and Decomposition

• Prioritization of Test-related Tasks

• Test Design and Test Plan Development

• Writing and Executing Test Cases

• Test Data Acquisition

• Manual Test Execution

• Data Validation

• Defect Tracking (Logging and Reporting)

• Test Status & Metrics Reporting

Job Complexity:

A highly regulated environment with complex technical environments that may require flexibility working during the downtime, reprioritizing due to delayed builds, etc.

Interaction:

Must be able to efficiently interact with the client and project team, and with the internal QA team members.

Supervision:

• This role does not require supervisory activities.

Required Skills:

Technical Skills:

• Functional testing of web applications

• Ability to create and execute complex SQL queries for database testing (e.g. joins, conditional select statements)

• Test management/defect tracking tools and processes

• Environment – Unix
