Job Summary:

The Executive Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary of Conagra Brands, Inc. is seeking an Executive Assistant and Legal Operations Administrator. As part of the Legal & Government Affairs team, the successful candidate will perform a variety of confidential and sophisticated administrative duties for the General Counsel, Corporate Secretary’s Office, and other individuals within the department as assigned, and serve as a key administrative liaison for the company’s Board of Directors.

This role has contact with many internal and external stakeholders and must become well-connected within the Company.  The successful candidate will be capable of communicating effectively with stakeholders in a professional manner that accurately represents the General Counsel, the Legal & Government Affairs function, and Conagra Brands.

Agility, the ability to work independently and anticipate needs, plan for alternative scenarios, and make good judgments with minimal guidance are critical.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the General Counsel with urgency and the utmost confidentiality, including calendar management, phone coverage, travel logistics, meeting planning, expense report processing, mail handing, and other administrative duties.
  • Act as a liaison to our Board of Directors and the primary support to our Corporate Secretary’s Office. Focus areas include:
    • Planning, communicating, and executing Board meeting logistics to ensure meetings run smoothly.
    • Working with senior management to prepare and share confidential board meeting materials.
    • Coordinating official communications with the Board of Directors and maintaining related corporate records.
    • Maintaining relationships with the members of the Board and assisting them with company business between meetings.
  • Support the department’s Legal Operations function by coordinating relationships with legal service providers and vendors, including their compliance with billing guidelines and financial arrangements.
  • Leverage Legal Tracker system for matter management, invoice support and processing, data reporting, and analysis.
  • Assist the General Counsel and the Legal Operations team in preparing and managing the annual budgets for the Legal & Government Affairs function and the Board of Directors.
  • Assist the Legal Leadership Team with managing special projects.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of administrative and/or office management experience; experience with legal matters, contracts, contracts administration, and/or legal operations a plus.
  • Exceptional project management skills and meticulous approach to the details.
  • A professional demeanor and ability to work both individually and collaboratively.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint and Excel, and experience (or aptitude to learn) document management systems, legal enterprise software, and artificial intelligence tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • An ability to maintain an uncompromising commitment to confidentiality, and to work discretely and with high integrity.
  • Occasional travel (e.g., to off-site Board meetings), weekend, and evening work is required, particularly in connection with Board matters.

Compensation 

Pay Range:$82,800-$116,100

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
