The Executive Assistant and Project Coordinator is responsible for providing high‑level executive administrative support that enables effective leadership, operational excellence, and strong partnership across the organization. This role supports complex scheduling, meeting coordination, travel planning, expense reporting, and vendor and budget management, while also serving as a proactive steward of team culture and well‑being.

 

This position reports to the Group Vice President, Strategic Accounts and Customer Strategy and is part of the Diagnostics Solutions Group and Performance Partnership team. The role will be based on‑site in Deer Park, Illinois.

 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Deliver high‑touch executive and customer engagements, including agendas, logistics, events, and on‑site experiences, with precision and professionalism.
  • Manage complex administrative operations such as calendars, travel changes, expense reporting, budget reconciliation, invoicing, and vendor coordination in compliance with policy and HCP regulations.
  • Plan and execute executive, team, and organizational events, ensuring strong logistics, seamless execution, and clear alignment to Danaher culture and values.
  • Serve as a culture and onboarding steward by owning new‑hire immersion, team engagement, recognition, and initiatives that foster connection, morale, and belonging.
  • Coordinate leadership communications and materials, including presentations, town halls, distribution lists, org charts, and confidential information handling.
     

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, OneNote) and exceptional organizational skills for managing multiple responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Expertise in calendar management, travel booking, and adept negotiation and prioritization to support executive focus.
  • Proven track record in event planning, budgeting, and vendor management, including high-stakes executive and client events.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with a proactive, discreet, and “can-do” approach to fostering positive workplace culture and employee engagement.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience, plus 5+ years of executive administrative and project coordination experience, preferably supporting multiple executives simultaneously.

The salary range for this role is $91,500 to $125,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.

We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
