The Executive Director of Application Development and Support is a senior technology leader responsible for driving the strategy, delivery, and operational excellence of enterprise applications across the organization. This role ensures that application platforms meet business needs, adhere to security and compliance standards, and deliver a seamless user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enterprise Applications Management
  • Oversee development, support, and optimization of Salesforce (SFDC), Zuora CPQ, NetSuite, Workday, and Concur systems.
  • Ensure seamless integration across platforms using MuleSoft and maintain robust API connectivity.
  • Drive enhancements and customizations in Salesforce and Zuora CPQ to support evolving business needs.
  • Manage ERP and financial systems (NetSuite) and HR systems (Workday) for operational efficiency.
  • Implement governance for expense management tools like Concur.

Strategic Leadership

  • Define and execute the roadmap for application development and support aligned with business objectives.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement.

Application Development

  • Oversee design, development, and deployment of enterprise applications (e.g., ERP, CRM, billing systems).
  • Ensure adherence to software development best practices, including Agile and DevOps methodologies.

Application Support

  • Establish and manage a global support model for critical applications, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Implement ITIL-based processes for incident, problem, and change management.

Governance & Compliance

  • Enforce data security, regulatory compliance (e.g., SOX, GDPR), and vendor SLA adherence.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor a multi-disciplinary team of developers, architects, and support specialists.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.

Financial & Vendor Management

  • Manage budgets for application development and support initiatives.
  • Negotiate and oversee relationships with third-party vendors and service providers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Experience in lieu of education is acceptable.
  • 10+ years in IT leadership roles, with significant experience in application development and enterprise support.
  •   Expertise in Salesforce (SFDC) configuration and administration.
  •   Hands-on experience with Zuora CPQ for subscription billing and pricing.
  •   Strong knowledge of NetSuite ERP and Workday HCM systems.
  •   Familiarity with Concur for travel and expense management.
  •   Proficiency in MuleSoft for API-led integrations across enterprise systems.
  • Strong knowledge of application lifecycle management, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and integration frameworks.
  • Familiarity with ITIL, Agile, and DevOps practices.
  • Proven ability to lead large teams and manage complex, global projects.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
