PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $141,800.00-$173,300.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $110,100.00 - $204,900.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE:

As an Executive Recruiter at BECU, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our organization by attracting and engaging exceptional senior leadership talent. Your expertise in executive search, market intelligence, candidate engagement, and stakeholder partnership will directly influence BECU’s strategic growth and long-term success.

In this highly visible role, you’ll collaborate closely with executive leaders to understand business priorities, provide trusted talent consultation, identify and engage top-tier candidates, and guide the executive hiring process from strategy through negotiation and onboarding. Your ability to build meaningful relationships, think strategically, and deliver outstanding candidate and hiring leader experiences will help ensure BECU continues to be led by exceptional talent.

To join our dynamic team in this role, we require candidates to be residents of WA, OR, ID, CA, AZ, TX, NC, SC, GA, or VA. If you’re located in Washington state and within a reasonable driving distance to our Tukwila Headquarters (TFC), we encourage you come into the office on Tuesdays & Wednesdays each week.  For those candidates that live outside the commutable distance to TFC and in any of our approved remote work locations, this role will be primarily remote. Remote or onsite, we are committed to ensuring you are fully engaged and included in our collaborative environment. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Executive Talent Partnership: Collaborate with executive hiring leaders to gain a deep understanding of their strategic goals, business priorities, financial objectives, and leadership hiring needs.
  • Market Intelligence & Research Strategy: Design and execute targeted research and talent mapping strategies that provide meaningful insights into external talent markets and executive hiring trends.
  • Competitive Talent Landscape Analysis: Research competitors, market data, employment trends, and executive movement across organizations to identify opportunities, inform talent strategies, and develop executive recruiting leads.
  • Strategic Talent Consultation: Serve as a trusted advisor to multiple business units by providing guidance, consultation, and support for executive-level recruiting initiatives.
  • Executive Recruiting Strategy Development: Create and implement sustainable, long-term recruiting strategies that strengthen executive talent pipelines, optimize sourcing channels, establish strategic partnerships, and support best-in-class recruiting practices. Partner closely with the Executive Sourcer to identify, engage, and cultivate executive talent, ensuring robust and diverse leadership candidate pipelines.
  • Executive Recruitment Process Leadership: Act as the subject matter expert for executive recruiting processes and practices. Continuously evaluate emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to recommend enhancements that elevate executive hiring outcomes at BECU.
  • Talent Acquisition Project Leadership: Lead and drive Talent Acquisition initiatives and projects that create meaningful impact across the organization and support broader business objectives.
  • Executive Candidate Assessment: Evaluate executive candidates to ensure alignment with role requirements, leadership competencies, organizational needs, and cultural fit.
  • Candidate Experience & Transition Support: Partner closely with hiring leaders and candidates throughout the hiring journey, supporting transitions, pre-employment activities, and successful onboarding experiences.
  • Additional Contributions: Support the Talent Acquisition team and organization through additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communications or Human Resources, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of recruiting experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience primarily recruiting at the senior leadership (director and above) level.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to plan, source, recruit and support selection of top talent at the director, vice president and senior vice president levels.
  • Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS), recruiting software and candidate databases.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a high sense of urgency coupled with the ability to remain flexible within a highly dynamic environment and still deliver on deadlines.
  • Deep understanding and experience with recruitment processes and selection methods.
  • Demonstrated client focus along with relationship building skills.
  • Effective negotiation, influencing and communication skills.
