The FOX Internship Program offers an exciting opportunity for you to gain practical experience while interning for one of the biggest sports, media, and entertainment companies in the world. You will have the opportunity to participate in real-world projects, which provides valuable work experience and leadership skills.

Please note that this internship is an on-site opportunity in Chicago, IL.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree during the length of the program 

  • Current class standing of sophomore, (second-year college student) or above

  • Strong academic record 

  • Committed and available to work for the entire length of the program

  • Access to own housing and transportation to/from the assigned Internship site

  • Must be able to work on-site in Chicago, IL

STUDENTS SELECTED TO MOVE FORWARD IN THE INTERVIEW PROCESS:

  • Must demonstrate knowledge of the company and sports media industry

STUDENTS ACCEPTED INTO THE FALL 2026 PROGRAM:

Are required to provide a copy of an unofficial transcript or letter from the adviser/registrar showing proof of enrollment

 

AREAS OF PLACEMENT:
Depending on your area of interest, you’ll have an opportunity to participate in one of the following below. Please include one top area in your cover letter. 

  • Marketing: Hands-on experience working with brand, sports marketing, social media promotion, event planning and to help with its event marketing initiatives; BTN Big 10K, Football Media Days and B1G Tailgate.

  • Studio Production: The Studio Production Intern will help us prepare for the upcoming season, as well as assisting with production of B1G Today studio show. Duties will include logging games, finding footage, and researching historical stories. The Intern will also be a part of the planning and production of football and volleyball media days.

  • Media Management: The Media Management intern will assist the Media Management department in transferring our library to cloud storage. This will include metadata tagging and understanding nomenclatures within our ecosystem. The role will also assist with day-to-day workflows as needed, including fulling requests from networks, athletic departments, vendors, and other stakeholders.

FALL 2026 SCHEDULE:

Program Timeline: Monday, September 14, 2026 - Friday, November 20, 2026

Scheduled Weekly Hours:16 - 24 hours per week
