Job Summary:
The Federal PSS Technical Architect is a hands-on technical leader responsible for the comprehensive design, development, and governance of high-impact digital transformation solutions utilizing the Salesforce Public Sector Solutions (PSS) and OmniStudio platforms within the Federal government.
This role provides expert architectural oversight to ensure solutions are highly scalable, secure, performant, and compliant with all Federal mandates (including security, data, and accessibility standards). - Lead the end-to-end technical design and implementation strategy for large-scale PSS and OmniStudio projects, ensuring alignment with Federal enterprise architecture and mission objectives.
- Serve as the principal technical liaison between the development team, client stakeholders, and other cross-functional technical teams (e.g., enterprise architects, security specialists).
- Define standards and best practices for the use of OmniStudio components (OmniScripts, FlexCards, DataRaptors, Integration Procedures) and PSS common components (e.g., Business Rules Engine, DocGen, Action Plans, Dynamic Assessments).
- Design secure, scalable integration architectures between Salesforce Government Cloud, OmniStudio, and mandated Federal external systems using protocols such as REST/SOAP, OAuth, SAML, and PKI, adhering to standards like NIEM and XML/JSON schemas.
- Proactively identify, analyze, and mitigate technical risks, limitations, and potential performance bottlenecks inherent in complex Federal PSS/OmniStudio implementations.
- Provide technical direction and oversight to a team of OmniStudio Developers, conducting rigorous code reviews and promoting sound development practices, reusability, and security-by-design.
- Define and enforce technical quality standards, focusing on high-volume scalability, optimized performance, maintainability, and minimizing technical debt.
- Own the CI/CD strategy for OmniStudio and PSS components, ensuring secure, automated deployment pipelines that meet stringent Federal DevSecOps and change management requirements.
- Ensure all developed solutions meet WCAG 2.1 AA and Section 508 accessibility standards and all relevant Federal security mandates (e.g., FISMA, FedRAMP).
Qualifications:
- 6-8+ years of professional Salesforce development/configuration experience
- 2-4+ years of experience serving as a Technical Architect with end-to-end ownership of a major Salesforce or OmniStudio implementation
- 4+ years of experience specifically on Federal or Public Sector integration programs or projects, with deep knowledge of Public Sector Solutions (PSS) and OmniStudio
- Expert-level knowledge of architectural patterns, data modeling, performance tuning, and security best practices within the Salesforce platform.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor development teams, conduct quality code reviews, and establish technical standards.
- Deep practical experience with version control (Git) and defining CI/CD/DevSecOps strategies in a regulated, secure environment.
- Experience or strong understanding of the compliance requirements and delivery environments of Federal or Public Sector clients, working with Agile delivery frameworks such as Scrum or SAFe.
- Certifications:
- Salesforce Certified Application Architect AND System Architect (required)
- Salesforce OmniStudio Consultant (preferred)
- Salesforce Certified OmniStudio Developer (preferred)
- COMPTIA Security+ will be due in Feb 2026 (required)
- Must be a U.S. Citizen (required).
- Willingness to attain a U.S. Security Clearance (e.g., Public Trust, Secret) as required by specific projects. Current clearance is not required to apply.
