Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for HL7 FHIR, APIs, and healthcare interoperability standards to support program objectives and participant success.
- Interpret API specifications, implementation guides, and technical documentation to support system integration and interoperability initiatives.
- Provide technical expertise on FHIR data structures, resource modeling, validation, and cross-system data exchange.
- Collaborate with technical teams to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve interoperability, API, and healthcare data integration issues.
- Identify and analyze data quality issues, integration gaps, and interoperability challenges across multiple healthcare data sources.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including program management, engineering, product, analytics, and external partners to support successful implementation activities.
- Support documentation efforts, including technical guidance, standard operating procedures (SOPs), implementation documentation, and knowledge articles.
- Participate in requirements gathering, solution reviews, and continuous process improvement activities to enhance interoperability capabilities and participant experience.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration, or a related technical field.
- 7+ years of professional experience in healthcare information technology, healthcare interoperability, or health data exchange.
- 3+ years of experience working with FHIR, RESTful APIs, and healthcare interoperability standards.
- Experience supporting healthcare data integration, API implementation, or interoperability initiatives.
- Working knowledge of healthcare data standards, including HL7 FHIR, JSON, XML, and REST APIs.
- Experience interpreting technical documentation, API specifications, and data models.
- Experience troubleshooting API integrations and validating healthcare data exchanges.
- Experience delivering technical guidance or training to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework® (SAFe®) or other agile framework.
- A team player; willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies quickly.
- Experience with working and negotiating with stakeholder.
- Must live in the Continental US.
- Be either a US citizen or Permanent Resident due to the work we do.
Preferred Qualifications
- Healthcare certifications such as HL7 FHIR Proficiency, AWS/Azure Cloud, PMP, or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM).
