General Function

Responsible for assisting Private Bank Account Officers and working with clients to obtain required information and documentation needed to facilitate the account termination process.  The primary function of the Private Bank Account Closing Specialist will be to gather required documentation and communicate with clients and outside firms related to the termination of Investment Management, Trust and Individual Retirement accounts.   This role will be the subject matter expert regarding account termination requirements, the information and documentation required to close each type of account, the process to obtain any necessary approvals related to an account closing and the process to submit closing requests to the appropriate Fulfillment Center team for processing. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities  

  • Responsible for preparing and obtaining all necessary documentation to facilitate the closing of investment management, trust, and individual retirement accounts.
  • Ensure documentation is complete, accurate and stored as required by policy and procedure.
  • Providing regular and frequent communication with clients and/or external advisors to ensure seamless offboarding experience.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert relative to all information and documentation required for each type of account termination as well as the process to facilitate the closing workflow.
  • Submit Account Closing requests on behalf of Private Bank Account Officers for processing.
  • Provide status updates on account closing and asset transfers process to Private Bank Officers as needed throughout the life of the closing process.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred or minimum 3 years of client service experience preferably in financial services.
  • Strong client experience skills, internal and external clients and the ability to work in team environment.
  • Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn fiduciary account types and structures, legal and regulatory standards, and internal policies and procedures in relation to account terminations.
  • Experience with client contact (CRM) systems, document repositories, and electronic workflow management tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective time management skills, ability to prioritize and multi-task in high pace environment as well as maintain flexibility to meet business needs.

Total Base Pay Range 54,400.00 - 111,500.00 USD Annual

The base salary for this position is reflective of the range of salary levels for all roles within this pay grade across the U.S. Individual salaries within this range will vary based on factors such as role, relevant skillset, relevant experience, education and geographic location. In addition to the base salary, this role is eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan, with any such payment based upon company, line of business and/or individual performance.
