Job Summary
The Field Account Manager (FAM) is a strategic growth driver responsible for accelerating sales velocity and whitespace development through strong in-person engagement and deep local customer relationships. The FAM partners closely with Account Managers and internal teams to unlock growth opportunities, support account expansion, and drive customer value across the full CDW solutions portfolio.
What you will do:
* Drive in-person customer engagement to deepen local relationships and strengthen CDW's presence within assigned territories.
* Serve as a strategic partner in accelerating sales velocity and identifying whitespace growth opportunities.
* Collaborate with Account Managers on large and complex opportunities to support deal strategy and execution.
* Support account expansion activities, including customer events and on-site engagements.
* Activate and engage strategic partners to unlock incremental growth within assigned accounts and territory.
* Provide input and insights to support operational and territory strategy.
* Own pipeline input related to customer meetings and forecasting for in-person-led opportunities.
* Focus on selling and supporting the full CDW portfolio of solutions.
* Partner with presales leadership and sales leadership to align resourcing and engagement strategy.
* Work with assigned Solution Executives to drive category penetration at both the account and opportunity level.
* Proactively hunt for new opportunities in close partnership with Account Managers.
What we expect of you:
* Proven experience in field sales, account management, or customer-facing sales roles, preferably in a K-12 education environment.
* Strong customer-facing sales acumen with an emphasis on relationship building and consultative engagement.
* Ability to collaborate effectively across sales, presales, sales leadership and external partners.
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities across accounts, opportunities, and territory initiatives.
* Ability to clearly communicate ideas and value propositions through in-person and verbal communication.
* Experience supporting pipeline management, forecasting, and opportunity execution within a defined territory.
* Strong organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills in a fast-paced sales environment.
* Proficiency with CRM and sales productivity tools (e.g., Salesforce).
* Willingness and ability to travel within the assigned territory to support customer and partner engagements.
* Comfort operating in a dynamic, field-based sales environment.
* Commitment to upholding CDW's values and Philosophies of Success. Pay range: $ 50,000 - $ 75,000 base salary depending on experience and skill set. In addition to the base salary, there is an uncapped commission structure subject to terms and conditions of plan.
