As the Director of Field Applications Engineering, you will lead and develop a high-performing global FAE organization supporting the Energy & Industrial Infrastructure market segment. Your mission is to elevate customer technical engagement, drive design-in wins, and align engineering support with strategic sales objectives across all regions.

About the Job

  • Lead, coach, and develop a global team of Field Application Engineers focused on industrial applications across Littelfuse technologies.

  • Establish clear performance expectations and support career development aligned with the FAE career path framework.

  • Serve as the senior technical liaison for key global industrial customers.

  • Oversee pre- and post-sales technical activities, including solution design, product integration, and troubleshooting.

  • Ensure timely and effective technical responses to customer inquiries and quality issues.

  • Drive new business opportunities from concept to design-win in high-growth segments such as energy storage, HVAC, and industrial safety.

  • Collaborate with sales and product management to identify and prioritize strategic applications and key accounts.

  • Partner with Product Marketing and R&D to influence product roadmaps based on customer needs and market trends.

  • Align with regional sales leaders to ensure technical support execution is consistent with go-to-market strategy.

  • Track and report KPIs such as design wins, NBOs, and customer satisfaction.

  • Ensure compliance with global standards and documentation processes.

About You

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Power Electronics or Industrial Systems preferred).

  • 15+ years of experience in Field Applications Engineering, including 5+ years leading global teams.

  • Deep technical knowledge in industrial applications including power semiconductors, circuit protection, switches, sensors, and protection relays.

  • Experience supporting OEMs, contractors, consulting engineers, and distributors in the industrial market.

  • Proven ability to lead cross-regional technical initiatives and influence strategy.

  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to travel internationally up to 60%.

Salary Range:

$158,500 - $229,660

The salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.
