We are looking for a talented individual…

To join our team as a Field Energy Engineer! As a Field Energy Engineer you will support the development and delivery of energy efficiency programs by providing engineering calculations, building energy simulations, and measurement and verification. Leads design and development of technical strategies, conducts analysis to inform and recommend energy savings, and develops plans, and provides reporting that contributes to the success of client programs. Writes and informs technical documents, publications, and conducts a quality review of content.

Candidates must be based in the Greater Chicago Area to be considered and must be able to travel within Illinois 2 times a week.

For this exciting career opportunity, you’re a great fit if you can…

  • Calculate energy savings for projects in our programs using standard engineering principles including physics, mechanics, fan laws, thermodynamics, algebra, and statistics
  • Oversee the development of calculators and measurement configurations within a central database
  • Perform ASHRAE level II audits unassisted at large commercial and industrial facilities; author IPMVP compliant plans and reports
  • Be an established and trusted technical advisor to multiple large-scale programs
  • Provide technical guidance and training to our program teams related to subject matter expertise (esp. custom/M&V projects)
  • Author work papers for new energy efficiency measures, with technical oversight
  • Oversee technical feedback related to filings, utility commission documents, and program evaluations; provide formal recommendations to program staff
  • Develop project scopes, with oversight from engineering management

In this exciting career opportunity, you will have…

  • BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical)
  • 5+ years’ experience in commercial energy engineering
  • Professional Engineer preferred
  • Project Management experience preferred
  • Excel Skills (VBA)

Compensation Range

$62,700.00 - $94,100.00
