WHY WE THINK YOU WILL LOVE THIS ROLE
The Finance Analyst FP&A is a member of the Global Category Management FP&A team and is responsible for financial planning, reporting & analysis and coordinated activities with counterparts in all regions. This role is based in Chicago and reports to the Finance Manager FP&A.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ORGANIZATION
- Financial Analysis, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting responsibilities to support the Category Management business
- Financial Analysis and Reporting responsibilities to support our global client on innovation projects
- Month-end close activities including journal entries ensuring conformance to company policies and GAAP
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, reviews, and flux analysis
- Presentation of financial results primarily using Power of BI in monthly meetings with the business line leads
- Demonstrated in depth understanding of common business and cost drivers, financial statement analysis, and deep-dive analysis
- Identification of opportunities to improve processes within the Category Management service line as well as in the Finance area
- This role requires frequent interaction and collaboration with business and finance partners
- Support of external and internal audits
- Prepare ad hoc analysis and special projects as required
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO HAVE
- 3+ years' experience in finance and accounting
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
- Familiarity with JDE, NetSuite, Hyperion Planning, and Power BI systems desired
- Strong spreadsheet skills required
- Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills required
- Strong analytical skills required in guiding management decision making process
- Able to work with and explain financial concepts to non-finance personnel
- Proven ability to appropriately prioritize work, complete tasks within deadlines, and work hands-on
Starting salary between $70,000-$85,000
