ElectronX™ is a new electricity market designed to enable precision risk management, volatility hedging opportunities, and the monetization of power assets for all energy market participants. As a CFTC-regulated financial exchange (subject to approval), ElectronX will offer derivatives products that capture the intraday price fluctuations of our rapidly changing electrical grid—helping to smooth the financial path of clean energy adoption across the nation.
The role supports our growth as we build this innovative exchange. We're looking for professionals who began their career in accounting and now seek to expand their skillset. You'll work directly with our CFO across every aspect of our financial operations.
Your responsibilities will extend beyond traditional accounting—from implementing core financial systems to supporting the critical clearing functions driving our business. You'll develop and execute financial processes spanning both corporate finance and exchange operations in our fast-paced startup environment. Gain exposure across the entire financial spectrum of our cutting-edge trading platform while making a meaningful impact on the energy transition. As we grow, your contributions will directly shape our success, offering significant growth potential for ambitious finance professionals.
What you will be doing:Accounting Support
Execute month-end close processes under CFO supervision
Support system implementation as a key user, configuring the system with custom reports and dashboards to enhance financial visibility for both current and future exchange operations
Assist with external accounting firms for tax and annual audit preparation
Clearinghouse Support
Monitor customer accounts and related collateral deposits
Assist with member onboarding and documentation management, working closely with the market operations team.
Support preparation of clearing-specific regulatory reports
Cash & Treasury Operations
Support daily cash activities across corporate and clearing functions
Manage banking transactions for both operating and settlement accounts
Administer expense tracking and reporting through expense system
Regulatory Compliance Support
Execute reconciliation processes essential for regulatory reporting
Support regulatory examination preparation and maintain compliance procedure documentation
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
Experience supporting Derivatives trading
Min 4 + years of accounting experience
Working knowledge of financial systems (NetSuite experience a plus)
Advanced Excel proficiency
Exceptional attention to detail with a process improvement mindset
Self-directed problem-solver who thrives in a startup environment
Working toward or have obtained your CPA certification
You have experience with financial services or trading systems infrastructure
You're passionate about clean energy and its intersection with financial markets
