Finance Coordinator / LTC Coordinator

Freedom Home Care | Full-Time | On-Site

Bring Your Attention to Detail to a Role That Makes a Difference

Are you organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing numbers, documentation, and people?

Freedom Home Care, a PurposeCare company, is looking for a Finance Coordinator / Long-Term Care (LTC) Coordinator to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems, keeping important processes moving, and helping clients and families navigate the financial side of receiving care at home.

In this role, you'll take primary ownership of our Long-Term Care insurance claim process, ensuring claims are accurate, complete, submitted timely, and followed through to payment. You'll also partner closely with our Finance Coordinator, Operations, Client Care, Revenue Cycle Management, and Payroll teams to help ensure accurate billing and payroll information.

If you're someone who catches the details others miss, enjoys following a process from beginning to end, and takes pride in providing excellent service, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do

Long-Term Care Insurance Claims

  • Prepare and submit LTC insurance claims, ensuring all required documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Track claims from submission through payment and proactively follow up on outstanding, delayed, or denied claims.
  • Maintain organized client files, including policy information, authorizations, care plans, and required documentation.
  • Serve as a primary resource for clients and families with questions about LTC coverage, claim status, and related billing.
  • Partner with Client Care and Operations to obtain missing documentation and ensure claims are submitted timely.
  • Coordinate with Revenue Cycle Management regarding claim submissions, denials, appeals, and reconciliation.

Billing & Payroll Support

  • Partner with the Finance Coordinator to review and finalize weekly billing and payroll information for accuracy.
  • Review timesheets, shift documentation, and billing/pay rate information for discrepancies.
  • Help resolve documentation or timing issues that could affect employee pay.
  • Serve as backup to the Finance Coordinator when needed.

This position supports the accuracy and timely handoff of billing and payroll information but does not directly process payroll or billing.

Client, Family & Team Support

  • Provide professional, compassionate support to clients, families, and caregivers regarding LTC claims and billing questions.
  • Research and help resolve discrepancies involving invoices, paychecks, refunds, or payment methods.
  • Collaborate with Operations Managers and Client Care Managers to maintain accurate client account information.
  • Communicate across RCM, Payroll, Client Care, and Operations to resolve issues quickly and accurately.

What We're Looking For

Our ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable owning detailed processes while working collaboratively across multiple teams.

You'll be successful in this role if you have:

  • Previous experience with Long-Term Care insurance claims, billing, finance coordination, or home care administration preferred.
  • College degree preferred, but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to documentation accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
  • Comfort communicating with clients and families regarding potentially sensitive financial matters.
  • A genuine desire to support clients receiving healthcare services in their homes.

Why Join Freedom Home Care?

You'll be joining a collaborative team where your work directly impacts our clients, families, caregivers, and operations. This role offers the opportunity to build expertise in Long-Term Care insurance while working across multiple areas of the business.

As part of the PurposeCare family, you'll also have access to the resources and opportunities of a growing Midwest healthcare organization committed to Bringing Healthcare Home.
