Location: Chicago, IL (HYBRID)

This is a hybrid position requiring three days per week in the office, with the option to work remotely up to two days per week.

The salary range for this role, based in Illinois, is $107,200.00 to $134,000.00. The range will vary if outside of this location. Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a candidate’s experience, skills against internal peers and against the scope and responsibilities of the position.

Job Summary: 

The Finance Manager, Business Planning partners closely with the business to identify growth opportunities and provide financial insight and thought leadership to division sales teams through both routine reporting and ad-hoc analysis. This role requires a highly analytical professional with strong communication and interpersonal skills who can translate data into insights and influence stakeholders across multiple functions to achieve regional financial targets.

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, Business Planning, this position works cross-functionally with Commercial Sales, Commercial & Portfolio Finance, and Commercial Excellence to develop and execute commercial and financial plans in support of the organization’s growth ambitions.

What you’ll do:

Finance & Analytics

  • Partner with regional Sales teams, Distributor Partners, and Finance leadership to support commercial and financial decision-making

  • Provide performance tracking, insights, and financial analysis to support business outcomes

  • Build ad-hoc and scenario analyses and support post-program ROI evaluations

  • Prepare and present financial updates and reviews to division leadership and distributor partners

  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities in collaboration with Sales, Brand, and Revenue Management teams

  • Identify opportunities to improve regional P&L performance and help monitor and manage financial risk

  • Support Revenue Growth Management (RGM) initiatives focused on profitable growth

  • Work with state leads and distributors to support development and tracking of Local Market Fund (LMF) investment plans

  • Help coach market teams to encourage disciplined, profitable decision-making

Pricing

  • Support identification and execution of strategic and tactical pricing opportunities

  • Partner with distributor and brand stakeholders on pricing plans and execution

  • Analyze competitive pricing activity and share insights with commercial teams

  • Support price and promotional effectiveness analysis, including post-event reviews

  • Monitor market pricing dynamics and support adjustments to pricing and brand strategies as needed

Required qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field required, MBA a plus

  • 5+ years of experience in finance, pricing, commercial analytics, or a related role

  • Experience supporting Sales or Commercial teams; CPG or Spirits industry experience a plus

  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Experience with financial forecasting or planning tools (Hyperion Essbase or similar preferred)

  • Experience working with BI or analytics tools and dashboards (e.g., Power BI, Nielsen/IRI, NABCA, ThinkCell, VISTAAR and/or similar platforms preferred)

  • Willingness to travel up to 15% as needed for market and distributor engagement, off-site training, etc.

  • Strong financial and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and deliver actionable insights

  • Proven ability to partner cross-functionally and communicate effectively with stakeholders at varying levels

  • Experience managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Demonstrated problem-solving and critical-thinking capabilities with strong attention to detail

  • Solid understanding of commercial and market dynamics from a finance perspective

  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of deliverables, and exercise sound judgment
