Accounting Assistant

As an Accounting Assistant, you will be an integral member of our Family Office Services team that is responsible for providing accounting and consulting services to the partners of the firm. In this role, you will provide day-to-day administrative and financial support to the Family Office Services team.

- Have the ability to effectively prioritize and complete assignments in a timely manner
- Are extremely organized and have strong attention to detail
- Have solid knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures
- Possess strong basic math skills and the ability to identify numerical errors
- Have experience working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and OneNote)
- Have previous hands-on experience with QuickBooks
- Are a team player but also able to work independently
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and an approachable and professional demeanor
- Understand the importance of maintaining sensitive information in a discreet, confidential manner
What you’ll be working on:
- Accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
- Researching and resolving issues or discrepancies with accounts; paying invoices
- Performing monthly reconciliation of credit cards and providing reports as needed
- Maintaining accurate documentation in accordance with records and retention policies and procedures
- Preparing bank deposits and reconciliations
- Reviewing and filing payroll (processed through ADP)
- Recording basic accounting transactions
